National Floors was founded more than 30 years ago by Robert R. LaPorte. His goal was to provide high-quality wood floor installation at honest prices to customers across Greater New England. Robert still oversees all aspects of National Floors from the company's Beverly, MA headquarters. Whatever type of flooring installation project you're looking for, we can handle it.
We can work with any and all wood floor types like traditional oak flooring, maple, and cherry woods, along with more exotic types like bamboo, Brazilian cherry, and jarrah. We also have decades of experience with tile floor installation and vinyl floor installation, as well as poured epoxy and commercial rubber flooring.

Only certain types of pine are used in pine flooring - Eastern White, Southern Yellow, and Heart Pine - but all of them have a distinct rustic charm that many people associate with both cabins and modern architecture. The reason that pine floor installation has this unique aesthetic is because pine can be laid on either the planed side or the rough sawn side.
There are several members of the birch family, but the most common varieties you'll see in birch flooring are yellow birch, sweet birch, and red birch (which is actually just the darker heart of the yellow birch). Out of those three, yellow birch is the one most commonly selected for floor installation.
Cherry wood flooring installation seldom includes staining because this wood already has a beautiful natural color that makes it stand out from other flooring types. It is unique in that it patinas quickly, changing from a soft pink when it is first installed to a much deeper rich red where it is exposed to sunlight.
Hickory, which is a member of the walnut family, is the heaviest, hardest, strongest domestic wood. You'll find hickory flooring installation in lots of homes and commercial spaces because it's not as expensive as exotic hardwood flooring or the rarer hardwoods, but it's still not as common as oak flooring.

And amazed I was. After he sanded the floors, the boards looked brand new, not 94 years old. The satin polyurethane finish made them look bright and modern. What's more, Robert responded to calls promptly and was always available to answer my questions. I'll be calling him soon to have

I pretty much made this yelp account just to write a bad review of this company. I had him in about a year ago to a rental property where the floor was coming up in the bathroom. He convinced me to put down laminate. It cost me a thousand dollars and a month later the tiles were coming up. When I called him to look at the floors again and told him what was wrong he was rude and abrupt with me and told me that I would have to pay him to go out and look at the floors because he was afraid for his safety in the neighborhood (where I walk my dog at night undisturbed regularly). Also, I came to find
