Trenton School of Dance opened its doors in 1976 under the instruction of former Detroit City Ballet dancer Judy Shamanski-Menna. In 2009, Judy's niece Meredith Shamanski took over ownership of the studio. Meredith has her Bachelor's degree in dance and is a certified instructor of the Cecchetti method, which is renowned for teaching dancers in ballet technique.

At Trenton School of Dance we have instructors who are committed to your children's safety, education, and well-being. We emphasize quality dance training, team bonding, and discipline through the art of dance. We offer classes for children of all ages and abilities and believe that every child can gain something from dance.

My granddaughters found real talent under the direction and supervision of Trenton School of Dance. I certainly would recommend their staff of teachers teaching good techniques.

My daughter has done 2 dance camps now and loved both of them! The teachers are all very patient and taught them so much in the short time! Can’t wait to dance more in the fall!

My daughter Rachel loves the My Little Pony dance camp she is in right now. Meredith the instructor is amazing and really keeps the kids focused while having fun! Great place to learn dance and very welcoming when you walk in the door.

My daughter had her first dance class and absolutely loved it. The teachers are wonderful and we will keep her going in this program after her introductory class is over! :)

My daughter has been at TSD since she was 4, I can't imagine taking her anywhere else! We love the teachers and the entire dance community here, as well as all the beautifully choreographed performances. Wonderful dance studio!
