Services
Occupational Therapy help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (Occupations). Common Occupational Therapy interventions include helping children or adults with disabilities to participate fully across all settings, helping people recover from injury to regain skills, and provide supports to adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.
SSIS offers Anger Management Courses incorporating the Choice-Based Anger Control model based on the simple assumption that anger is a choice-and we choose our response to any person or situation. We subscribe to the idea that Choices Made Repetitiously Become Habits. This means that you have made the same choices over and over until your behavior is automatic or habitual.
An educational advocate is a professional who works with the family, the student, the school and all other relevant professionals to assure that each student receives the appropriate education necessary to optimize his/her opportunity to achieve to the highest level of his/her potential.
An IEP (Individualized Education Program) is a commitment in writing of the resources the school agrees to provide based upon the individual needs of each student.Periodic reviews of the IEP serve as an evaluation of the student's progress toward meeting educational goals and objectives.

Stepping Stones Intervention Services Youth Development Training Program (YDTP) is a high relevancy Social, Emotional, College and Career Readiness educational program that empowers at-risk youth and traditionally under-served populations. Stepping Stones YDTP consists of four (4) components.

Dr. Dawn Jones has provided excellent OT services for my son. My son, who was 2 years old when he started, did not adapt well to new people because he had been home since infancy. He was working with another therapist but would not settle down long enough to learn. What I loved about Dr. Jones was that she quickly identified the issue and made adjustments even before I brought it up. She worked with him personally and was able to get him comfortable so he could attend to tasks. She is very caring and compassionate towards her patients and families. My son has improved very well over the last 10

Dr. WillIe Jones has really been helpful in supporting my eight year old son. He is helping my son deal with his anger issues. Dr. Jones has really been productive in my son life with his visits to my son’s school. My son is showing great improvement on how to deal with his frustrations issues. I could not have done this without Dr. Jones.

I am so thankful for Dr. Willie Jones and his team!! We have been coming here for about 2 years now. The services have been very helpful and supportive for my family in the time of need. I have been coming to stepping stone counseling for some years now and I must say this is the best counseling service I have ever had. Dr. Jones is very professional, he’s not judgmental, and he has you really working on your issues vs trying to medicate you. If you are looking for a counselor that would fit your needs look no further!

My son came to Stepping Stones as a referral from his pediatrician about 7 years ago. He was 11 years old and needed assistance with fine motor skills. Dr. Jones was amazing in helping him improve and reach his full potential. She treated him with care and compassion. Thank you for bring an important component of his success!

Dr. Jones is somebody I would recommend to not just the individual but also to families as well. He is phenomenal with listening and also gives great advice to make you better. He’s able to assist with school age children by providing service inside of schools. Dr. Jones is the absolute best and now I am able to use the tools he taught me in my everyday life!

For most parents who have children with exceptional needs, we share an understanding, a desire, and sometimes an anxiety when it comes to finding superior services for our babies. So when I found Stepping Stones Intervention Services, I was skeptical. I am so pleased to say that they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Stepping Stones Intervention Services have provided awesome interventions for my son. Exceptional!! Words cannot express how much I love Stepping Stones. From the first day I called, Mrs. Jones was very helpful and patience in working with my work schedule for my grandson's evaluation and therapy sessions. Ms. Rachel the OT was awesome!!
