The vision of Arise and Live is to see marriages set in Godly order while influencing a global society through their marital depiction of the gospel. We are Christ-centered counselors who believe God, creator of the human body, has gifted some with the gift of counsel and healing through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible, the 66 canonical books, to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God. We believe God created Adam (male) and Eve (female) in his own image. By disobedience, they fell from their sinless state. This fall plunged humanity into a state of sin and death, and this is brought upon all humanity.
What is a counselor? By definition, a counselor is a person who is trained to give advice, guidance in varying areas of expertise. Christian counselors may also be identified as Biblical counselors or Christian therapist. While these titles may be interchangeable, they are often based on preference, training, certification, practice, ministry or any combination of these.

Arise and Live counseling has been a true God-send for our marriage. These counselors are amazingly authentic and equipped to counsel. We are eternally grateful to Arise and Live Counseling for the wise counsel they provide us. Thank you for helping our unbelief! In the midst of a pandemic our marriage was heading for divorce. My husband and I had gone through a traumatic event that shook me to the core and we were in need of help. After seeking Christ based counseling I chose this couple after reading several of the reviews, we did not counsel with the Pugh’s we were assigned another couple. In our 1st session that last 50 mins I was told I was SELFISH and they could not tell we were children of God. I shut down and cried for the remainder of the session. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh is amazing! God led us to them when our marriage was heading for divorce. They started the foundation of leading us to Christ. Arise and Live is absolutely so amazing. My fiancé and I did a pre-martial session and at the end felt so blessed. My expectations were exceeded the moment I met the Pugh's. Their energy, therapeutic approach, and overall knowledge was impeccable for what my fiancé' and I were needing for our relationship. The Pugh's actually wrote a book, "God's Design For Marriage, Marital & Premarital Workbook" that we utilized throughout our duration of receiving counseling. The book is a tool that helps guide you as a couple but to also hold you accountable. The activities in the workbook are innovative and thought provoking.
