Where should I start.. The absolute amazing experience we had with Kanika design literally forced me to write a review after a very long time. When we moved to our new apartment and were looking for someone who could help us with interior design & furnish our apartment including home office. Contacting Kanika ended up being a huge waste of my time. They repeatedly contacted me over email and phone, asking me what I was looking for and what my goals were.

In each communication, there was no memory of what I had said to them in the past. I had to repeat myself again and again. We weren't building upon our conversations.

Given how expensive they are, this made me hesitant to work with them.

We really enjoyed working with Kanika! We reached out via Yelp and her partner followed up with a call to discuss options and pricing. We chose to hire Kanika for a couple of hours ('Designer For A Day' package) to discuss paint colors and pick out a couple of furniture pieces. Kanika jumped right in and listened to what we wanted with our space. She gave clear direction and feedback and made some great suggestions for paint colors. Highly recommend! We'll definitely reach out for future projects.

My wife and I first contacted Kanika to help us renovate our kitchen. After patiently listening to our ideas, she supplied her own which of course turned out to be far better, while managing to stay within our budget. In two hours, Kanika helped us pick paint colors for our whole 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. We did a complete remodel and had to pick all the colors from walls, ceilings, trim, wood, windows & door, and exterior eaves. We worked together to pick two options for each room. She suggested swatching the colors first to make sure we liked them, but I was too lazy. Everything turned out great. :)

We hired Kanika for a two hour session and I couldn't be happier. She came to our home in Half Moon Bay to help us with our living room. I hired Kanika for a 1/2 day session to help pick interior colors for a light remodel project on an old Craftsman style home. I know my limits and interior decorating is not my cup of tea... heck I'm color blind which made Kanika's job even more challenging! By the end of the day, Kanika created a color palette that my wife loved and she even gave us some furniture ideas for the kids.

WIth overloaded work, I need a home office which was not originally designed along with the house. Being an amazing interior designer, Kanika was very patient and offered a lot professional and creative ideas that I haven't seen online after I did the research for months. Honestly I think it is easier to make a fancy design instead of a simple yet satisfying one.
