Chad Cordwin started a family operated custom sawmill during the early 90's and later incorporated as Cordwin Custom Sawmill in 2003. During that time, in response to customer requests, Chad also began offering full-service, professional tree care.

From our first meeting with Cordwin we were very pleased. Not only did they show us what was needed but educated us for future possible problems. Now today they came to trim and remove trees. They arrived on time, organized and ready to work. They did an OUTSTANDING job and amazing clean up. We could not be happier. We highly recommend Cordwin Tree Service!!!

This company is incredibly professional and the people are very friendly. Rebecca and Tyler did the initial assessment and emailed an estimate promptly. The tree work was scheduled for a few weeks later. It looked like a small well equipped army showed up for the job on time as promised. Chad, the owner, introduced himself and Marty, the foreman for the day. The crew worked incredibly hard and completed a pretty big job by 3:00 pm. The clean up was thorough and the property looks so much better. Everyone did a great job. I wish I could list them all by name. Needless to say, I highly recommend

What an amazing company with TOP NOTCH SERVICE. Chad met with us on Wednesday to discuss our needs. After discussing and brainstorming - we had a plan! Although, our trees were still in relatively good condition, they had matured out and were not placed in the best location. On Friday morning, the team showed up. When I say showed up - I mean showed up! A team of 7 guys and at least 6 trucks with equipment. They worked all day - through the rain- to accomplish the job. Chad knew we had 4 pallets of sod sitting there that had to get laid that day - he was determined to not let the rain or cold prevent

Recently cleared some land and wanted to save a beautiful old oak. The oak tree had been neglected for many many years and needed some love and help. Cordwin was recommended to me by our land clearing guys...made an appointment, they were on time and very professional. I was very impressed by their knowledge. They did an amazing job. Picture doesn't do it justice. The tree looks beautiful in person. Very happy I went with them. Thank you guys for taking great care of our tree!

Recently, my mother experienced a tree fall through her roof in Jacksonville following hurricane Matthew. My older brother was staying with her and called me after her insurance contacted a tree service. I vetted several to remove her tree.
