While she has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, it was the experience of managing her mother's estate that inspired her to focus on estate planning, elder law, trust administration, and special needs trusts.
Ivette M. Santaella has considerable experience in estate planning, elder law, Special Needs, trust administration, conservatorships and nursing home abuse. She has been trained and is adding Collaborative Law for Estate Planning to her practice. She is knowledgeable in long term care and Medi-Cal planning.
Tiffany assists partners in trust administration. She volunteers at Love A Child Mission Shelter, Prisoners literature Program, and CJCJ youth justice mentoring. Tiffany's long-term goal is to attend law school to be able to help those in marginalized communities. Ethan Choy is a legal assistant for Santaella Legal Group, APC.

I called this law firm last week because I was trying to gain some knowledge about my personal situation and possibly filing a bankruptcy. I was told by a male attorney named Ethan or Nathan that it would cost $10k to start.
I spoke with other attorneys in the area and now know that that is a very unreasonable fee to request. This was told before I even had a chance to explain my situation or even ask for a consult. He ignored me most of the 20 second conversation we had and seemed to be arguing with someone else in the background.

I've worked with Ivette to draw up our family trust documents and I only have good things to say about her. She is competent, thorough, and honest. She did a great job of educating me along the way and answering every question that I and my wife had.
We procrastinated a fair bit throughout this process and Ivette's office was good about gently reminding us to get our documents together and nudging us to get everything done. I've sent a couple of other people to speak to Ivette and they've each relayed to me that working with her was much easier than they expected estate planning

Contract was signed to create a living trust and will in July, 2019. It was purportedly ready for signatures on February 12, 2020, 7 months later. Numerous and repeated delays and errors in drafts had to be corrected by me. I was given no consultations with the lawyer until I complained to her by cc'ing the person who had recommended her; she finally set up an appointment to discuss on phone, even though contract had specifically enumerated three consultations.
