Services
Long before Lester's Crab Pots was founded in 2009, Les Blahuta was making traps to catch local crabs during his weekends in Oregon. Les used crabbing to bond with his family, enjoy the beautiful Pacific Coast, and bring the best, fresh catch home for dinner. After retiring from a successful trucking accessory company, Les set out to complete his lifelong goal of getting his degree.
The Pacific coast has many different types of crabs, but the most common caught on the West Coast are the dungeness and red rock crabs. On the Atlantic, the most common catch is blue crabs. All three are caught by sport fisherman for consumption. A good haul of crabs in our heavy pots is between 25-45, but hauls like that aren't necessarily typical.

Junk, bought 2 of these casting crab traps because they where American made. first cast line to close the trap breaks, emailed sales with no reply, there return policy is a joke, trap has to be brand new in original packaging to return. Well Lester how do you know if the trap works unless you use it? Rod tip does not bounce as advertised when you have a blue claw crab in the trap. $70 for 2 traps with shipping so much for American made , could've bought 2 traps on eBay for 30 bucks free shipping, free return.

Awesome place, highly recommended. Grabbed a few pots recently to replace some lost gear and everything was rigged and ready when I showed up. Everything worked super well on the first trip, and Lester was a nice and interesting dude. Will definitely upgrade the rest of the traps over time with more of Lester's gear.

Very bad experience here. Ordered a crab ring and not ready when I was told. When it was done they demanded $10 more than what I had been told it would cost, despite that I did not want their skinny, inadequate pull rope. Told $45 and charged $55 with no rope. Too bad we can’t have local products without dishonest people. Check website. Crab ring $50. Told me $45 without rope. Why ripoff people trying to buy local?

High quality product, made by extremely friendly people. Sadly too many people now care more about low price than they do about quality. Don't even try to compare these to traps made in China via mass production in order to fit under the "Everyday Low Prices". This place reminds me of how things were before big box stores took over America.

Emailed these guys that I would be over when they opened on Saturday and they confirmed they would be there. After I drove 45 min over there they weren't open so I called them...they called me back on my ride home and said they would probably be there later....Save yourself the drive, you can't give some people money.
