Services
Complete insurance and billing information must be provided at the time of registration or admission. As a service to patients, hospital representatives will complete and submit claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers on the patient's behalf. Most insurance companies require that patients obtain authorization before receiving hospital services.
As an independent health care system, Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is free to focus, invest, optimize and deliver care by enabling all our clinicians, staff and employees to treat each of our patients as a person. And we continue to be recognized with praise and awards from national organizations.

If you don’t have hundreds of dollars to pay your imaging bill in FULL, avoid Chesapeake Regional at ALL cost. They’ve officially lost me as a patient for any future services. I had a payment plan set up (after I had attempted to make reasonably “small” payments on it and still received a final notice). I missed ONE payment and was immediately sent to collections! ONE missed payment. ZERO attempt to contact me about it, rather just sends me straight to collections.
I’d truly hate to have any worse of medical insurance and less of an income. They will send you to the grave in order to

Staff at Cardiac Rehab is excellent. 1 star because- since they are affiliated with C.R. Medical Center & as far as (Blue Cross/Anthem/ BCBS FEP ) insurance billing, i paid a $100 copay for "Outpatient" initial assessment(code G0463) PHONE CALL... vs the $30 copay i was expecting which is what I paid when was actually connected to EKG and exercising. I don't know for sure but i am figuring a private Cardiac Rehab facility does not bill using the "outpatient" code for initial visit...

My mom had twins here and to sum it up, the staff is incompetent. Initially, the women at the desk in the emergency room was rude and not concerned at all that my mom was in active labor. Everyone was very judgey and not kind at all. She had one very nice and understanding nurse when she was in recovery after her c-section who's name was Jenna. After she was moved into the mother baby unit, it all went back to rude nurses. THEN, after my mom was discharged, her son had to be moved to CHKD for what they said was a life or death situation, and could not get ahold of my mom to approve of the surgery

I had to come to Chesapeake General today for my gaulbladder ultrasound. While they are requiring everyone must wear a mask, they are not screening anyone when they come in.... They didn't screen me and I've seen several people come in and walk past the front resk, stop and ask the people at the desk questions about what patients or rooms they maybe in..... Never o ce have I been screened nor has anyone else..... This time lace is a joke, always has been and always will be. I absolutely hate this hospital and if I didn't have to come here I wouldn't....

I am questioning how a PA in the ER obtained any type of medical license. Her disregard and bedside manner was borderline disgraceful. Went here last week in severe pain 10 weeks pregnant. I only told them I suspected a UTI. I guess they took that as the only thing to check me for. Sat in waiting room for two hours in pain and basically incontinent. Not a bad wait, I will give them that. Took my culture and the PA took me back, stood across from me with her arms crossed and told me I had a UTI. Shocker. Proceeded to tell her I felt my stomach area is distended and something doesn't feel right.

Came in with my some who has COVID. I’m pregnant so the I asked Yolanda at the desk if I should get a test. She told me that if I did it wouldn’t be here and that it was not a priority… I also watched her tell a sick elderly woman that her being sick was “not her problem” And that she “aint gunna die” really? And you as the triage nurse know that? Unbelievable. How absolutely disgusting.

I have had multiple experiences at this hospital (er for medical or mental health) which have been bizarre and/or have involved rude/unprofessional healthcare workers. My last visit was not long ago and I was particularly surprised at how rude the doctor/pa/np was when testing and attempting to diagnose me if there was an issue i needed to be concerned about. I left feeling as though I was being reprimanded for some reason for having a possible medical condition and was definitely not confident in the accuracy of what i was told, whether that was the case or due to the very rude and unprofessional

My daughter went into labor around 2 pm on the 25 th by 3:30 am she had made progress. But, she wouldn’t have been able to do it without the third shift nurse Aliett.
She provided so much care and support for my daughter from the start of her shift to the end of her shift. She provided her different means and ways to labor safely. When she would go to touch my child she would let her know that she was going to touch her. She was always mindful of where my daughter was in the process of labor and delivery. She was so supportive and sweet and kind. We were thoroughly impressed with her car for

Just left the emergency room a few hours ago. They have had to be the nicest group of medical professionals I have ever had to work with. Bedside manner was impeccable. They were all so nice. And I hope to see them at the skating rink in about 6 to 8 weeks after my elbow heals. Thanks for your help guys!!!
