I would have given 5 stars but… The admin side of things was responsive enough to give 4 stars. Jackie remained professional enough as I got a bit upset. The guys came ready to work which is always a great thing. They DID NOT slow down or lollygag. They were ready. I didn’t like that they smelled like cigarettes and cologne, that’s not a good mix, but they were personable and again they came ready to get it done! The thing that got me upset is the fee for heavy item because it didn’t mention stove, fridge, washer, dryer.. normally those are standard within the move. It specifically mentioned

Let's start with the administrative side of things. It's an absolute joke. We sent our deposit via VENMO. Really? Get a merchant services account like a real business and accept credit cards. No confirmation or scheduling information after payment was sent. I had to call to make sure we were on the books. They couldn't give me a time 5 days before the move and was told they usually call to give a time the day before. Fast forward to the day before. No call by 5 pm. Had to call myself, which is no big deal, but seriously unprofessional.

This was my second move with Jeff and team and I had another great experience. Last year they moved my furniture from a house in Detroit to a townhouse in Royal Oak. I had a great experience so when I needed to relocate to Lansing I called Jeff Star Movers first!
The crew worked hard and quick while taking care of my items. It was a hot day but the guys stayed focused and got everything moved in less time than expected.
We had some minor bumps in the planning process but Jackie and Jeff were both very polite, friendly, and helpful as we worked through those. I highly recommend Jeff Star Movers

BEWARE of Jeff Star Movers at all costs!!! If I could rate this company zero stars, I would. They did an awful job moving our furniture into a storage unit. They have ruined multiple pieces of furniture. We asked them to wrap all our furniture to ensure that it wouldn't get scratched up, yet most of the wrapping was ripped apart and falling off. Not only did this wrapping take a lot longer, meaning we needed to pay them extra, but it did not protect our furniture since they barely wrapped it.
