Our STUDIO EVENT CALENDAR is a live resource that can help all KJ students and families stay up to date and informed of important studio happenings. KJ Dance Designs, owned and directed by Kristy Ulmer Blakeslee, has been in Plano, Texas since 1993. In 2014, we opened the doors to our second location in Frisco, Texas. The 2020 - 2021 dance season marks the 28th year of dance training excellence for our KJ Dance family. The KJ Dance VIRTUAL TRAINING EXPERIENCE was launched in March of 2020 and will continue to be an online educational dance platform available to new and existing students.
COSTUME PICK UP DAY was a fabulous success! All Plano and Frisco dancers will picked up their concert and recital costumes up from our PLANO LOCATION! We had a balloon artist, professional face painter, bounce house and free popcorn! KJ families also have the opportunity to purchase concert and recital merchandise, register for summer and fall classes, and visit with our KJ faculty!
Our KJ Plano and KJ Frisco locations are conventionally located and available to accommodate a variety options for studio space reservations and rentals. Both KJ studio locations provide a clean, spacious, and professional environment that will serve as a perfect venue to all of our KJ family, local community programs, and guests.
THE KJ DANCE PULSE COMPETITIVE PERFORMANCE COMPANY is s nationally recognized dance company with unique style and poise. This vibrant group of dancers has established a reputation of excellence in all dance disciplines. The KJ Dance VIBE HIP HOP CREWS are competitive and community building performance hip hop crews.
KJ Dance intentionally designed this program to support the bonds and friendships made among fellow KJ Alum while providing the opportunity to be a part of something GRAND! Active members have opened doors to support their KJ family through philanthropy and community.
The KJ LEGACY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION represents former students, from the last 3 decades, who trained under the direction of KJ's founder and director, Kristy Blakeslee and the KJ faculty.As KJ Dance continues to grow and evolve, the desire to link our alumni dancers together for a common purpose has become an exciting reality.

My daughter attends rhythm and rhyme class with Ms. Leah and she is amazing! She is so great with the little ones and is very patient, she makes class fun for them. The dance studio is clean and very nice. We attended a make up with Ms. Claire this week and she was also so wonderful, my daughter was nervous about having a different teacher and she made her feel so comfortable. Thank you all for helping my daughter fall in love with dance and having fun!

Equipped with a meticulously hand-picked faculty of teachers that are each tops in their area of expertise, KJ dance is where I want my children to be influenced to grow into their truest selves. And, they also happen to offer the very best in dance education. If you prefer your children grow up in an environment which cultivates hard working, smart, quality, contributive human beings, Kristy and her staff have been doing it for decades. My daughter will be starting her second year at KJ Dance and we could not be happier. The talent and expertise of the teachers and the organization and communication by the owners is stellar and beyond comparison. We are excited about our daughter's future and know that KJ Dance will do everything possible to make that happen.

What a great dance organization. The teachers and staff truly care about their dancers! When they say the KJ Way they mean integrity and dedication on and off the dance floor. Your child will leave here not only a better dancer, but a better person. I’m proud to know and be a part of such a valuable program.

My daughter has been attending KJ for dance lessons, and we decided to do her 3rd Birthday Party there also. What a home run! The staff was amazing!!! I cannot say enough how impressed I was with their attention to detail in decorating, and really customizing the activities for the kid's ages. I will definitely be enrolling her again in the fall and look forward to many more wonderful experiences at KJ Dance! Thanks for all you do guys!!
