Aaron is the CEO and Founder of GoodEnergy Renewables. Aaron began his solar journey in 2007 with a two-man startup where he established himself as a fixture in the Santa Barbara solar industry. Installing a solar solution is not a one-size-fits-all investment. Good Energy prominently focuses each customer's individual needs and we customize every system for our customers' homes, lifestyles, and savings goals. We evaluate energy usage, customer's goals, and the installation site and design a proposal based on individual customer needs.

You own your solar system and over the term of your loan, you repay the loan on a monthly basis. Loan terms are currently offered for 10, 15, or 20 years. You keep the solar tax credit for which the energy system is eligible. You can pay off your loan any time without penalty. For many customers, the combination of the loan payment and the remaining utility bill is less than their previous electric bill.
The homeowner is a respected California contemporary architect who was looking to integrate an aesthetic high power solar solution into his own showcase home in the foothills of Santa Barbara. The first of many hurdles during the installation process came with educating the county staff about the unique differences of a SunPower Equinox panel.

We were very pleased with Good Energy Solar. Aaron and John were very responsive and did what they said they were going to do. Even when there was some equipment issues, they stood behind their work and thoroughly resolved the issues with the manufacturer. We highly recommend Good Energy. Special shoutout to John who went more than the extra mile to install the battery system.

Good Energy Solar recently installed a solar battery as a back up during power outages for our small (and old) Westside home. As another reviewer said, as long as there's sun, we'll have power. Aaron, John, Monika and the entire team were a dream to work with. It took some time to get sign off from the City of Santa Barbara and Edison and then there was Covid. But the job is now completed, and I can't say enough good things about the entire team. We were planning a new home build p on the Westside facing east, and this was to me no ordinary home. We wanted to build a home for what we KNOW is coming! Good Energy Solar did a fantastic job adding solar to our home in Mission Canyon. Aaron and team are honest, hard-working and technical experts. Also, if you are considering working with a contractor that handles their own invoicing, etc. you should know that Monika at Good Energy makes sure the finances are handled smoothly.

Aaron was the best! Starting with helping us get roof repairs done prior to the solar installation... providing top of the line solar panels, an installation cost way below what anyone else was quoting, easy to work with and always available to answer questions. I'm not sure why anyone would buy solar panels anywhere else.

Good Energy was great to work with. Aaron is very knowledgeable and helpful. He provided contacts for replacing the roof prior to the solar installation. Aaron provided very personal service which has continued even after installation. When my internet connection was lost he quickly called to check on the status of the monitoring system. I value local and personal service, which Good Energy provided. I would urge anyone interested in solar to have a discussion with Aaron.

Aaron Luckett and Good Energy Renewables did a great job for us. He told us his energy production estimates would be conservative and indeed our panels produced quite a bit more than the minimum he predicted. There were no last minute price adjustments. The work went as scheduled and on time. We would, and have, recommended Aaron again.
