I first came upon Amika when we had our first baby. I had not planned in advance but once we were home I realized I would really like newborn photos. Amika was reasonably priced and able to accommodate us on short notice. That first experience was awesome! Her and her assistant were patient and had oodles of great ideas that totally captured our personality.
A year later we decided to work with her again as our son turned one. We got some truly beautiful family photos out of that shoot. Five months ago we had our second baby, a girl. We had Amika booked in advance this time! Her ability to capture our rambunctious three year old and our beautiful baby in the same frame was truly amazing.

A child's features are forever changing, personalities bursting to life and their timeless expressions should be documented (and not just in baby books). My job is to celebrate each stage in your child's life by taking these ever-changing moments and holding them still, forever documenting these memories for you to cherish.
A Newborn Session is ideal way to remember how small your little love was at the beginning of life. The session will take place between 8-21 days. I set no time limit to these session's because I go by the baby and reserve plenty of time for feedings, soothing, and diaper changes. A typical session lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.
Amika Gair Photography takes on a very limited amount of sessions per month (6-8) to ensure the highest personalized customer experience and to not let any session feel rushed or overlooked. It is for this reason that we recommend booking 2 to 3 months before your due date to guarantee that you're in our calendar.

We hired Amika to take a few porch portraits of our family. She was very flexible with a few schedule changes which is a big deal when dealing with young kids. She is friendly and delivered great shots of our little family. Her price is also very reasonable. I would hire her again and also recommend her to others. Thanks again, Amika!

Amika was very easy to work with, very down to earth. We started with a virtual meeting to discuss with Amika what kind of photos we wanted to remember our wedding day. Her price was very reasonable. She made the 90-minute trip to the venue ahead of the event day to get her bearings, which was nice, so we knew we didn't have to worry about her getting lost or arriving on time, etc. She agreed to blend into the background while photographing so guests would hardly know she was there. The photos were of candid shots, mostly, which is what we wanted. She captured the day beautifully. We did do much

Amika is amazing!! We had an unfortunate experience where our photographer had to cancel just a few weeks before our event (through no fault of her own!!) and she recommended Amika. She was miraculously available, and once we met her, we KNEW we had found the right person for us. Friendly, upbeat and professional. The photos are fantastic and capture the joy of the day wonderfully. It has been an absolute joy working with her, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!!

We worked with Amika for a mini fall session and she was excellent! She has a great personality that allows people to open up and capture the moment. We got a ton of great photos, which is really impressive for a 10 minute session! She is also very responsive to email and text! Would definitely recommend working with her.

Amika was an absolute delight to work with and produced the most beautiful gallery of photos of our newborn daughter. We had a studio session as well as an at-home shoot, so that we could include our fur-baby in the memory making.
Amika was great with our daughter, easy to communicate with and captured exactly what we were looking for. She was professional, fun, happy and easy to work with - we can not recommend her more highly.
