At Little Red School House, we believe that children learn individually through play and exploration. The Little Red School House focuses on all areas of each child's development: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. Young children learn by manipulating and actively participating in their environment, they learn through exploration and by repetition.

Services
I love the rockies, but my favorite team is the Arizona Wildcats (my Godson's high school baseball team). Highlighted Accomplishments: My best accomplishment is being a grandmother of 4. I've been married 39 years to my sweetie who I met when I was fourteen and am a mother to three sons. Highlighted Accomplishments: I'm the youngest fully certified ski instructor on Snowmass Mountain.
Our school is divided into two classrooms. Hildur Anderson Toddler Center is for 1-3 year olds, while our preschool room is for 3-5 year olds. Our classrooms are set up in a way to promote success for your child. Whether it's through learning to get them-selves dressed in their snow clothes to go outside and go sledding, or by mastering their cutting skills working on a present for mom, we have many new experiences throughout our days.
The toddler years are a very busy and exciting time, both for your child as well as yourself. Toddlers are a busy and curious bunch. During this age children have a natural curiosity about the world around them, and are learning by exploring. Many new things are happening for your child at this age.
Our preschool class is set up in a way that encourages positive social interactions and promotes the development of self help skills in your child. Our goal in this classroom is to build on the foundation that has been laid and take the basic skills that your child has developed and push them on to the next level.
The Curriculum at the Little Red School House is designed to meet the needs of the individual children enrolled in our programs. Great care is taken and effort made to assess children's interests and skill levels and to use these assessments as building blocks for our curriculum development. In our world ordinary items become the extraordinary!
