Southport Academy is a private Christian based pre-school established in 2008 and our mission is to provide a safe, secure and predictable environment. We are designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of young children, ages 6 weeks to Pre-K. We offer a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities to enable them to discover their creative potential, develop social skills and understand the love that God has for each and every one of them.
Services
Southport Academy administration and teachers are committed to teaching young children the skills they need to learn and succeed. We believe that most of life's learning, including how to learn, occurs in the first five years of life. Since each child learns at his or her own pace, our teachers will look to him or her to determine the next stage of development.

The owner, Patrice Havens, is extremely rude, unprofessional and quite snobby. Her attitude was always very poor and unfriendly. The last straw was when she refused to let us view video surveillance when our infant son sustained physical injuries while in her facility. She takes zero responsibility for her young, under-trained, overworked employees. We would never recommend this daycare to others.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability
All three of my children attended Southport Academy and we’ve had experience at every single age group. They help with manners, potty training, social skills, and learning. My children were heads above others when entering Kindergarten. Thank you to Southport for loving my kids and for giving them a firm foundation.

The teachers are genuinely invested in each child’s education and their growth as learners. Southport Academy is committed to the whole child. I have both of my kids in daycare here. We love all of the instructors and so do my children. The nutritional program is better than others around. The kids stay active and come home tired at night. Classes sizes could be smaller, but they make it work. Communication could be better about instructors coming and going. Overall, Lisa and team have been great. Would highly recommend Southport if you're looking for a safe and comfortable environment for your children.
