OUHS offers a curriculum that meets the University of California A-G Requirements with an emphasis on basic skills and core subject matter. Oakland Unity high School is a high-expectation school with a safe environment, rigorous curriculum and intensive support. Students are offered a wide variety of athletics, after school programs, extracurricular activities, college visits and field trips throughout the year.

Oakland Unity High School is a charter school that serves the educational needs of students in East Oakland and the surrounding areas. Oakland Unity High School is a comprehensive college prep, four-year public high school for students in grades 9-12. The school opened in the fall of 2003 and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 2006.
Launch of the Information, Technology, and Digital Media Pathway, with all students enrolled in an aligned course as part of a four-year sequence. Unity High was again considered as a top bay area public school for underserved students by Innovate Public Schools. Oakland Unity High School is operated by Unity Schools -a 501(c)(3) California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation -which also operates Oakland Unity Middle School. Unity Schools is governed by its Board of Directors in accordance with Unity Schools Bylaws. The Unity Schools Board is composed of a broad cross-section of professionals with the skills necessary to appropriately oversee the operation of the school.

Our mission is for Oakland Unity students to become empowered, 21st-century professionals who can problem solve, advocate for themselves, and enrich their community. The Unity Pathway of Information Technology and Digital Media will offer technical training on digital literacy, computer coding, and digital arts and design, with technical certification opportunities upon completion of sequence.
