Students are challenged to pursue their God-given brilliance and radiate it out into the world. This is represented by three reaching strands of light that connect to form a cross. The three lines of the cross signify the Trinity and remind us of our strong, Catholic values. The strong M proclaims our school spirit and our strong culture of participation.
Every student contributes in our experiential environment of doing - not watching. Our size and our broad array of teams, clubs, retreats, service opportunities, and classes allow students to maximize their opportunities while learning from each other. After all, we all benefit when everyone is in the mix.

Services
To inspire young men and women through faith formation and academic excellence to become compassionate leaders and grow toward Full Stature in Christ. In Chapter 4 of St. Paul's Letter to the Ephesians, St. Paul encourages Christ's followers "to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the Body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to the extent of the full stature of Christ."
In 1915, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille established a day and boarding school for girls in Mt. Washington under the name of St. Joseph Academy. In 1950, Archbishop John Timothy McNicholas designated that the Academy would become a diocesan high school and directed that it would be the first coeducational parochial high school in the Cincinnati area.
We are called by our faith to serve, and this calling shapes all that we do at McNicholas High School. Students at McNicholas are immersed in a service-oriented culture and challenged to put their faith into action in our school, our city, our nation, and our world.
Students find that their experiences of service through McNicholas greatly impact their sense of purpose, shape their understanding of their vocation, and form them to be people who embrace Christian service as a way of life.

I can't speak to the academics but as a visiting team, the parents at this school are the rudest, most disrespectful parents I have ever encountered. They were yelling during an injury timeout, joking and wrestling with each other while our player was injured, making jokes about who had to be "in the wet spot", and mocking the ref openly for wearing knee braces, acting out their interpretations of his movements. I have never seen more disgraceful behavior from the adults at any other school we have played.
