I had met several family law attorneys in the past through the Montgomery County Bar Association, and 2 years later when my (ex-)husband and I decided to get divorced, she was top of mind. Before contacting her, I did still do my due diligence, researching her credentials and online reviews, including on avvo.com - an online directory of attorneys.
Dorothy had a 10/10 Avvo rating, which is based not only on client reviews, but also on recognition from the legal community, years of experience, and leadership activities. It's not easy to get a 10/10 rating, so off I went to request a consultation

I found the services my wife needed to resolve issues related to Maryland Department of Vehicles (DMV) REAL ID requirements were provided in a most professional, courteous and efficient manner by this law firm. . My wife needed to change her legal name and retrieve her lost birth certificate. We attempted to do this ourselves with great frustration and stress. Fait and Dilima handles these kinds of things routinely among other family law issues and were highly recommended. They communicate well both one on one as well as electronically. The nightmare with Maryland DMV is over and my wife has her

Next, said the firm can find accounts overseas or statewide, however, came back with she could only fi d q POBOX,even after I located his address based on his employer. Lastly, the final day of our hearing, note; she (the lawyer) chose the date, was a "no show". Specifically, she forgot to put it on the firm/her calendar. The judge was annoyed at her. Then, at the hearing, she has my address as in another town, which the judge told
