Two friends started this business in 1990 and it has remained a privately-owned family business ever since. Blane Kamp is semi-retired now, but still active in running the business that started with him and John. At that time, everyone did everything - sales, service, parts and accessories. For more than 25 years, riders have trusted us for new BMW motorcycles, used motorcycles, parts, accessories and riding gear.

Awesome place to buy a motorcycle. Blane & Max were wonderful to work with and they made the paperwork process very easy, I felt no pressure buying my R nineT from them.
Brandon from parts was also very helpful and I will be returning there to buy more accessories/gear for my bike. I was also introduced to the service manager Steve, and I felt assured my bike would be taken care of anytime it needed service.
Thank you BMW Motorcycles of Grand Rapids for an awesome buying experience!

I originally purchased a 2016 R1200RT here over five years ago and went back for the first time last Friday. I live on the other side of the state and the other two BMW dealers showed no interest in a problem I was having with the bike. I walked into BMW GR, spoke to my original salesperson who took me over to talk to the service manager who then spent 15 minutes looking at my bike and trying to find the problem. He then took me over to the parts department who helped look for the parts I needed and possible solutions. To top things off, I then spent half an hour talking with a different salesperson

Very nice. I really strongly feel that your fine display of rides are not priced high enough. I think you could easily double the prices. Probably even double and a half. Also if a customer asks how much, they cant afford it. Dont forget do not give the sales people or mechanics a raise. They want more money. Just show them the pile of applications.

Been a customer here for a few year. Family run cycle shop that cuts through all of the B.S sales games the other cycle shops play. By far the best purchase and service experience I've had in west Michigan and i have bikes from most of the shops around GR.
BMW makes a great bike and this shop is a nice compliment to that. Thanks Andrea for the amazingly simple buying experience without all the sales games.

Really poor experience.
R1200GS needed a wire repaired and a wire replaced (2.5hrs of labor as stated in my invoice) and it was there for 5 weeks! I received 1 call immediately after dropping off telling me the appointment was going to be pushed back 2 weeks... That time came and went without update and I called to hear it was pushed back another week. That time came and went without update and I called to hear it was pushed another week.. Extremely unapologetic. First "Sorry" I heard was after picking bike up and pointing out their lack of call backs was disappointing. I asked for

Really poor experience. I called, told them i was serious and buying a bike that day. spent the day back and forth on the phone with Dan, all ready to buy a bike, and when i went down there he said he made a mistake on the paperwork and the terms were not the same. I was really frustrated, and felt like it was a bait and switch. Dan told me that he had no time that day to prospect any leads becasue he worked on my deal that day (I'm buying a $10k bike, not really bothered that he couldn't get to his task list) and that they need to make between 2k-2.5k on every bike. they didn't

Took my K1300s with 7000 miles to dealership for noise in motor. This my family's 11th BMW and I have been riding for my whole life. Their diagnosis was broblem rod bearing that required a new short block at $6,000.00.
BMW will pay $1500.00. No other options! I gave them the go ahead. Although their service managed Brion was pleasant. I always felt like I was in the dark. Always unanswered email, and so many excuses.
When I picked up the bike, I was 50 miles when I discovered that the bike was blowing out oil all over the place. After several calls that day and stopping every 10 miles to

We are (were) considering replacing my 10 year old VTX. After researching bikes online travelled to GR to check out the BMW's. Several people in the parking lot watching someone (employee?) tearing around the lot on a bike. Did an entire lap of the show room without being greeted.
When considering spending $25,000 on a motorcycle, getting waited on does not seem unreasonable.
