Comprehensive oral evaluations, gentle sonic cleanings, protective dental sealants, oral cancer screenings, patient education, digital radiography, and non-surgical gumcare.
Dr. Shim graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 with a degree in microbiology and continued his education to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Medical College of Georgia in 2002. His post doctoral training has included advanced sedation techniques, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry, including botox.

I did not realize a dental organization could put such care, personalization, & professionalism into their work until finding Oakdale Family Dental.
I actually found Oakdale on accident 7 years ago after a dental emergency & have since moved my whole family to their care.
The business is actually a 45 minute drive from us & worth every minute.
Incredibly thankful for this place.

I just spoke with Linsey she has stellar office representation attributes. I am a new patient. I could feel her smiling as well seeing her smile while talking to me. I could hear her attentive active and passive listening skills while talking to me. She demonstrated patience when I kept asking questions she had previously answered. I immediately knew this office had a calm welcoming friendly professional atmosphere. I am a trauma register nurse I easily pick up on the characteristics that are needed when helping people. Always have a great experience with Dr. Shim and his team. From reception to hygienist everyone is accommodating and do a great job. I appreciate their COVID protocols and mind to keeping patients and staff safe as much as possible while still seeing patients that have an ongoing need to maintain their oral health. Another great experience at Oakdale Dental by the entire staff. The office is clean and they take the Covid-19 protocols very serious. I appreciate Sora and the front office for handling my insurance claims and being very accommodating. Traya the hygienist once again did a nice job. Dr. Shim is very kind, sincere and professional taking care of all my dental needs.

Kara (dental hygienist) delivered an excellent job on my bi-annual teeth cleaning procedure! She was very friendly, highly skilled, and informative during the process. Dr. Shim's professionalism, expertise, friendliness, and real concern for his patients is why I have remained a faithful patient of his dental practice for over 10 years. An added bonus is his wife, Zora (I hope that I spelled her name correctly). She is as professional and friendly as her husband in her position as the practice's Office Manager. I love the both of them!!
