We are at this for breakfast two times both were equally frustrating. The burrito with egg was the only reason I give 2 stars. And the springs breakfast with fried eggs had good eggs. That's the best I can tell you. The first day they didn't have coffee, and when requested fruit the served canned pineapple chunks. On day two they were out of pancakes. There was coffee but don't expect to like it. Service was strange. Save yourself $10 and just go to McDonald's.

Over the past year, my wife and I have had lunch from Spring's Bistro + Bar twelve to fifteen times (curbside/take-out) and have tasted many or most of their breakfast/lunch choices, from the migas and tailor-made 3 egg omelette to the fish and chips and chicken fried chicken. While we have enjoyed all of our meals, probably our favorite has been the bacon cheddar burger (sometimes with home-made fries or home-made chips). Their food and preparation have been high-quality, their service has been prompt and friendly, and their prices are reasonable. This is one of our favorite places to eat in San

Ordered a cobb salad, a ceasar salad and a steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. They brought it to our room but they forgot dressing for the cobb salad and it wasn't even a cobb salad it was a plate of shredded lettuce with a sprinkle of onion,bacon and tomatoes. The Cesar was ok, but the steak was well done instead of medium, and very tough and bland. The "mashed potatoes" were just a couple of red potatoes smashed with a fork and covered with country crock margarine the veggies were bland and soaking wet. The drinks were not up to par either. Based on the good reviews, we decided not to venture out of the Holiday Inn and just go downstairs. It was about 7 on a Saturday. No one was at the hostess stand to greet us. That was the first clue. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, sitting quietly under the glaring lights. That was the second clue. We waited a bit, then went to the front desk to see if the restaurant was closed. It wasn't, and the front desk clerk went back to the kitchen to let them know we were there.

I picked up a family lasagna from this Bistro and it was amazing. I will 100% be coming back for another one. All I had to do was put it straight into the oven and it turned out amazing. I have also tried the burger basket and quesadilla from here and those were amazing as well. This place never disappoints.

Your going to want to check out Spring's Bistro + Bar. We tried the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich and fresh made chips as well as the Beef Fajitas plate and it was absolutely delicious and not to mention very affordable - So whether your a local or just passing thr San Marcos stop by you won't be disappointed.

Just be aware, this is a hotel restaurant and serves typical hotel breakfast items (like powdered eggs). After reading Yelp reviews, we decided to go there (after all, they offered a Groupon discount.) When we pulled up and realized it was inside a hotel, we were tempted to leave, but I had already purchased the Groupon so, we decided to give it a try.
The staff was courteous, hence a 3 star review instead of a 1 star. If you're staying in the hotel, it is convenient, but I definitely would not go out of my way to eat there.

How lucky to find such a great bartender in a hotel bar! Drew makes AWESOME cocktails and gives even better service. The strawberry jalapeño margarita, with delicious infused tequila, is spicy and sweet without being overpowering in either direction. Great happy hour deals to boot. Thanks again, Drew!

About 8pm on a Monday I really wanted a burger with a fried egg on top. Didn't have patience for Crafthouse's service pace or downtown parking. Chef here's been flexible and fun, and I knew there was a spacious lot and likely a quiet atmosphere.
When I arrived, the bar seating was nearly full plus a table of perhaps five. Country music played, I took a booth in the back. My favorite steak is gone from their re-done menu, and it was too busy for Chef to pop out and chat, if he still works here.

Great food!!! We live down the street, and eat out a lot, and love trying new places. This spot skipped our radar since it's tucked away in a Holiday Inn, but we headed out for Sunday dinner. Ordered the Garden Flatbread for an app, and Garden Penne, Veggie Sandwich, and the Sirloin with bleu cheese and gravy, which was nicely upgraded to a Ribeye by the Chief who came out to ask. The flatbread took a while, but was very understood, it was fresh, savory and drizzled in balsamic! We promptly ordered another! (Good for 2-4, the 3 of us didn't care...) Our food took its sweet time too,

Gosh I was fasting for blood workup only to get there and find the tech. wasn't available to do the work. So, I drove over to the Spring's knowing they served breakfast and had the sliders for breakfast. There was a sausage, bacon and ham slider topped with cheese and scrambled eggs. Served with home style potatoes. Yummy!

My wife and I started out with the sliders and pub chips. The sliders were small enough that two people could split them, but large enough to be satisfying. The pub chips were great: thick cut, seasoned, but also crispy and flavorful.
The steak was also quite good, as was the rice and the broccoli, although there could have been a bit more broccoli.
All told, good, above average food, but the service, particularly the speed of the drinks' arrival, was a bit slow.
