My boyfriend got me a red velvet cake from here for my birthday and it was honestly the BEST cake I've ever eaten in my life! So moist and delicious! We have been getting birthday and other special occasion cakes at Mondelli's for years. They are always beautiful and delicious. No one else is better.

I moved to Lexington 2 months ago. Ive moved 30 times in 57 years and where ever I've lived I've always looked for a good bakery. I googled "best bakery's in Lexington and Mondelli's popped up. I went to their website and looked at the many, many pictures of all the beautiful cakes, cookies and other delicious treats, but it was the pictures of the bon-bon's that caught my eye. A very moist dark chocolate cake with a large dollop of buttercream icing on top them drenched in cooked chocolate icing. I'd never seen or heard of them before. What I was actually looking

If you're looking for the best buttercream icing in Lexington, run to Mondelli's for your next cake! I have ordered my daughters birthday cakes and baptism cake from them and the cake is always moist, delicious and beautifully decorated. I sent Jessica a few images of what I was looking for in a flamingo cake & smash cake and they surpassed my expectations. We drive out of the way from Nicholasville to order our cakes from here and will continue to do so for the deliciousness!

I found Mondelli's about a year ago and they became my favorite Lexington bakery. Everything is so fresh and made from scratch. It's not a convenient location for me, but every once in awhile I have to make the trek to get some goodies. I highly recommend the fruit turnovers, the petit fours, the bon bons and the French brownies. It's not a fancy place, but I have yet to try anything I didn't like. Also love the fact they're a local place with long roots in the community.

RUN AWAY!! I called weeks ahead to make an appointment for tasting and expressed what we were looking for. On the day they were unprepared - no tasting flavors, no list of anything including flavors, forgot everything we had requested, tried to reschedule that morning and criticized me for the date of the appointment!!! I told the Lady I was worried if she couldn't remember my appointment, she may forget or try to reschedule my Wedding Cake. She screamed and continued yelling as I was walking out the door. This was the most unprofessional Vendor I ever met.

NO! The daughter was rude, sarcastic, condescending, snappy and completely unprofessional. She was 12 minutes late for our meeting and forgot everything about my order. The store had dust everywhere, 1 cake and a few cookies. No wonder they are shutting down.
I work with Vendors all the time for various Events and never been treated so badly. I wouldn't send my ex-wife here for a donut.

This place has been around for years!! It's typically where my family get their cakes and cookies for birthdays and various other familial events. Today I had the dubious privilege of having a nice strawberry birthday cake with butter cream white icing with blue trimming. While it was good, it wasn't as moist as some of the other cakes I've had from there. I'm sure they all can't be. But it was still a great cake nonetheless and will continue to be a lifetime fan of this bakery!!

Always thought a birthday cake was just a cake. I ordered a cake at Mondelli's wow!! What a beautiful cake it was ,the smell,the look and the taste was absolutely wonderful. And to think I thought all cakes were the same. The staff was very courteous and very nice, I will continue to use Mondelli's Bake Shop for all my birthday cakes from here on out.

We stopped at a nearby store and decided we should check it out. It's a small unassuming place from the outside.
Inside, you're greeted with friendly faces and two large bakery glass cases full of so many beautifully decorated goodies... your mouth immediately waters as your eyes bounce back and forth because your mind can't decide what you want to eat.
There's lots of varieties of cookies from chocolate chip, sugar cookies, and lots with icing decorations like UK, crowns, emojis
