I've lived in numerous big cities, such as Austin, NYC, and Memphis, and these donuts are unmatched!

I love that they're a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. All of their pastries are also baked fresh and loaded with flavour.

Finally got to visit Spaulding's for their famed glaze donuts I've heard about since moving to Lexington. Went on a dreary Saturday morning around 10:30. There was a line inside but it moved quickly. I ordered 6 glazed donuts and a carrot cake cupcake. The donuts were perfectly warm! Overall taste was good, not too sweet. Donut was more on the funnel cake dough side than the donuts I'm used to. Glaze was super light but the sweetness came through. Cupcake was good, but not enough carrot in my opinion. Frosting was good, not too thick. Would definitely go back to try other goodies

Best donuts in the state. Get there early so you can get them while they are still warm. The glazed is the go to, but if you like chocolate you will love the chocolate glazed. They also make a really good cinnamon roll.

If you are looking for delicious donuts, look no further! They are made fresh every day and they don't last long so get there early. You might even have to stand in line but it is well worth the wait. They have a variety of donuts and pastries & they are all equally yummy The Apple fritters and sticky buns never last long but they are so, so good! They are not a chain but locally owned and have been around since 1929, so that in itself speaks volumes. Trust me, you won't be disappointed when you bite into one of their delicious goodies!

Well, I have read some of the reviews about Spalding's, good and not so good. All I can say is if you go with some of the reviews that say the donuts are just okay, or the staff was a little snappy and you miss this place, you have done yourself a disservice!!! You need to experience their hot glazed donut!!!! I am telling you, I can't stop thinking about it!!!! I mean, the BEST DONUT I HAVE EVER HAD HANDS DOWN!!!! The only thing is I wish I didn't know how good they are because I am trying to lose a few pounds right now. Anyway, if you need some donut therapy, THIS IS YOUR

I have loved Spaldings for a loooong time! I always loved the little guy who waited on me. If you want a donut... a REAL donut this is the place. I work in the opposite direction these days but I think it's time I make a trip to that side of town!

Cheap and delicious donuts. Easy to get in and out of the building. The drive thru when everything was shut down was a great idea! My favorite donut place! Early mornings can be difficult with lengthy lines but if you can go mid-morning, there is almost never a wait.

Came here on a Sunday late morning. They still had a pretty good selection of pastries. I ordered a raspberry danish, a cinnamon cream cheese ball, and an Apple fritter. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back!

So, I decided to stop by this location to see what the hype was all about. Upon entering, I had missed the crowd. The employees were so attentive and kind. I bought a mixed box of donuts and a few cupcakes. They tasted okay, and I gifted the rest to my homeschooling cousins. They were more excited than I was, and was excited to have a sweet breakfast.

If you're like me and not much of a sweet tooth, the hype for this place might be confusing at first. Is it really worth driving across town for? Is it worth waking up early for? Is it worth pulling some cash out of the ATM for? Is it worth navigating their anxiety inducing parking lot for?

The answer to all of those things is 100% yes.

These are hands down THE BEST donuts I've ever had. Super fresh and just magical. I'd be totally fine just eating a bag of their plain donuts, I don't even need the variety. And while they look a little awkward and possibly a bit too dark

Real, fried doughnuts. Chewy and dense --- the complete opposite of a Krispy Kreme. Cash only for this most old school of bakeries.

Had the pleasure of stopping by this little slice of heaven called Spalding's Bakery in Lexington KY on our way through the Nada Tunnel to the Smokey Mountains for a little R&R... we couldn't actually go in the old time donut shop and peruse their glass showcases of deliciousness!!! Get here and soothe and lift your soul a bit with the bakery treats and get some for your family and friends. Never even get out of the car. 11.00 a box of glazed.

Spalding's Bakery is awesome! It's small, and it's not an extremely fancy place, but the doughnuts are so good! It can get packed, and they can sell out, but if you can catch the doughnuts and luck out to get some they are some of the best I have had!
