Services
In 1987 Randy Tate began his career helping families of this area at the former Sequatchie Valley Memorial Funeral Home in Kimball. Over 20 years later he felt the families of the area deserved a new modern facility and in August of 2000 opened Tate Funeral Home in Jasper to help those during their time of need.

My brother passed away on August 6, 2020 and he wanted to be entrusted to Tate's Funeral Home. My sister and sister-in-law went down on the 7th to make arrangements. They did not have any caskets and would have to order one.
Because of the virus no visitation would be allowed.(understandable) I ordered flowers and when the florist tried to deliver them they were told that they would have to deliver them on Monday to the graveyard. People canceled their orders for flowers because they were live plants.
Proceed to Monday at graveside service. Chairs were on the wrong side of the casket. They never

My grandson Raylon passed away on September 5th. The visitation was on Friday September 11th and the service was September 12th.
This is the hardest thing our family has ever endured. Everyone at Tate's Funeral Home went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure everything was taken care of to honor Raylon. Every special request was fulfilled. I can never express my gratitude enough. Sherri&Johnny Sisk, Tena, Norman, and Kenny I will forever be thankful and grateful for everything you did for my family. Again Thank you all so much...

Let’s start at the beginning...my mother and I went with my aunt to make arrangements for my uncle that had passed. The ladies that work there are amazing! Then walks in the Funeral Director, which is so high he can not keep from falling asleep. When the lady was talking to us, the director was sleeping and almost snoring (breathing very heavily). When it was his turn to talk, he kept falling asleep. He also fell asleep while writing what was supposed to go on at the open casket gravesite funeral. Fast forward 3 days to the funeral, which was today. My uncle looked horrible! No makeup or anything

The music skipped during the service for my mother. Very tacky and no one from the funeral home even apologized. We also felt very rushed by everyone there. Other than that, the service provided was okay.
