Services
The Online Patient Portal allows you to access your medical record and communicate with our practice securely. You can now schedule a Video Visit with one of our providers by calling our office. We would love our patient's to use their patient portal. This is a great tool to view your medical record with our practice and print them to share with another medical provider.
The procedure includes the removal and examination of thin layers of cancerous skin. This procedure is continued until only cancer-free tissue remains. Originally developed in the 1930s by Frederic E. Mohs, MD and became known and refined in the 1960s becoming known as Mohs micro-graphic surgery. Mohs Surgery allows for the removal of all cancerous cells for the highest cure rate and the least amount of scarring.
Botox is the first and only FDA-approved drug that is used to cosmetically improve the appearance of wrinkles, especially crow's feet and brow lines. It does so by temporarily paralyzing the muscles. Clinically, Botox also treats more than 20 different medical conditions including certain muscular conditions, migraines and leaky bladders.
Orchid Dermatology is now offering to our Patient's Telehealth services. Telehealth can be used for issues that include a spot of concern, wound check, rash, acne flares, eczema flare, rosacea, skin lesion, medication refills, and cosmetic consults. It is a great service that allows patients to receive a diagnosis from one of our providers while in the comfort of their home.

I had such a pleasant experience at Orchid from the receptionist to check out. I went in for an overall skin check as I spend a large amount of time outside in our Florida sun. Even though I wear sunscreen I felt I needed to be checked out. I saw the PA, Alex Anne, and although I was nervous about doing this exam, she and her nurse put me completely at ease. They were very professional and respectful and I felt like I got a complete examination of my skin. I would likely recommend this office for all of your dermatology needs. I plan on going back for botox injections!!

Orchid Dermatology has extremely bright, professional, helpful, friendly doctors and staff. During examinations the doctors are very thorough and take a lot of pictures. PA Alex Anne Brown recently found a very small suspicious spot next to a mole. I looked at it and thought it was nothing because it was so small and looked like the other moles. Alex checked her pictures and said let’s biopsy. Thank goodness she did. The lab found Melanoma cancer cells on the surface of my skin that as everyone knows could have been fatal if left untreated. Alex removed the spot and did a great job sewing me

I cannot recommend Alex Anne Brown enough! As someone who struggled with painful, hormonal adult acne for years, I was desperate for a solution. We recently switched dermatologists because my last derm office was unorganized & nobody knew who was on first. We chose Orchid Dermatology in spite of the fact that they weren't close to us & I'm glad I did. The office is impeccably organized. The right hand knows what the left hand is doing. They have locations in Sarasota & Bradenton. Dr. Gerber (formerly Dr. Ross) has a great bedside manner. This isn't a huge practice where we get lost in the shuffle. I've worked in healthcare for 25 years & this office runs smoother than most.

I saw Alex Anne, the PA, and was amazed at the high quality service I received. After suffering from terrible hormonal acne, Alex Anne has been able to make my skin clearer and healthier than it has been in years. I no longer even need to wear make up. She is extremely intelligent and thorough. Cannot recommend her enough.

Unacceptable customer service, I called on 03/25/2019 at 2:36PM to make an appointment. I was told that the next open appointment was on 04/12/19, I agree to the appointment and talked to the receptionist for 7 minutes regarding my condition and new patient information. At 2:43pm I called again to provided my Health insurance information and we spoke for 3 minutes. Today two weeks later I call to confirm the appointment and I was told that my name was not in the system the number I called was 941-954-4500. Avoid this place if you have a serious concern.

The doctor is alright but the staff does not return phone calls and email documentation like they said they would to me over a month ago.
Also, be ready to open up your wallet. The minor biopsy that I had on two spots were negative but their vendor that did the analysis charged almost $500. I am challenging this charge.
