The food here was awesome. We got the spring rolls, larb, and duck basil. Everything was so well put together and came out quickly. If you're looking for some awesome Thai food this is the place I was really amazed at what we got here. The waitress who is taking our order unfortunately seem cold. I took off one star for the service here but the food is definitely five star. Would come here again for Thai food.

Very delicious, affordable Thai restaurant! Stopped in around lunchtime and ordered the lunch special, which was more than enough food at a good price (from $10+ depending on choice of meat/protein).

The best Thai place in town! My friend had the chicken pad Thai and I had the Avocado rolls for appetizers with Penang curry and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh and full of flavor as food should be. Even the water taste delicious! I ended with mango and sticky rice for desert to end a great dinner.

Lanna's Thai cafe has always been a great experience for me. I've been going for years, I love the food and I love there Thai iced tea, super refreshing. With covid I know they have really bad staffing issues and were only doing take out, I don't know if it's gotten better. But when I always ate inside the staff was attentive. The Chicken Curry, Egg Rolls, Pad Thai, and Mango Sweet Rice are all very good, especially the mango sweet rice for dessert. There is other items on the menu that are fantastic but those are some of my suggestions.

This small cafe has really excellent Thai food. Service can be a little slow for dine-in since they do so much take-out business, but that is testament to just how good their food is, and a shortage of staff most restaurants seem to be struggling with at this time.
Still DEFINITELY worth going though!

This is a sweet and decent and authentic spot for lunch...

Even know how to spice hard unlike some other local competition.

Great lunch deals...quiet clean vibe...

Service was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. 10/10 for service and atmosphere. We got the calimari appetizer. It was a pretty small portion for the price but good, the sweet chili sauce with it was especially tasty. Pad See Ew (photo) was incredibly good. The noodles had an amazing texture, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and there was a good balance of sauce. In heat I asked for a 3/5 and it was pretty spicy, so if you are worried err on the side of less spicy! Super delicious though. Orange chicken was okay. My husband didn't care too much for the texture or flavor. I thought

We love all the meals we have had here in the past few months since we are new to the area. They allow you to customize which is rare for a restaurant. The quality is high with good portions filled with veggies and protein. We have so many favorites - curry, salmon, and noodle dishes. We also love the fresh mango and sweet rice dessert. I highly recommend you try it too!

If you'd like a healthy Thai meal this is the place! The dishes are packed with veggies, never greasy, and most importantly delicious. I've enjoyed their egg rolls with the most delicious dipping sauce. It taste like pineapple and coconut, yum! The chicken and broccoli, also delicious. The orange chicken, a favorite on every order and last but not least basil chicken. Every dish I've sampled has not disappointed.

On my most recent visit I got to enjoy their mango sticky rice, such a treat!

I'm so thankful to Yelp Reno for highlighting this restaurant as part of its spotlight on Asian-owned businesses. It is so dang delicious!

Ordering was super easy and while they have many items on the menu, it's not overwhelming. My choice was easy: red curry with tofu - yes please! I also ordered brown rice. My husband had Pad Thai with pork and we started with the egg rolls.

Red curry was superb! I'm not just saying this. It was superb in every sense: smell, taste, texture, heat (I ordered 3 on a 1-5 scale). The egg rolls were crunchy and not greasy; the sauce was perfect

I got the KHAO Soi from here and wow was it such a comforting taste of Northern Thailand! The ladies at Lanna Thai were so warm and personable and I felt really welcomed in their little space. The KHAO soi, was warm and delicious and the perfect balance of rich and creamy and tangy. The chicken was so tender and there were plenty of crispy noodles to add some crunch to every bite. The portion size was really generous and I will definitely be back to try all their other traditional dishes!

I can't recommend this place. The quality is very hit or miss. After 3 misses in a row I'm swearing it off despite it being very close to my house. Pad Thai is very bland, the picture does not do it justice, it is much paler with almost no sauce. Go to literally anywhere else in town and it will be much better much more consistently.

Tried the lunch special pad thai with my wife today. First time ordering at Lanna Thai and let me say I am blown away! The food was EXCELLENT and tasted very authentic. The online ordering and customization was a breeze! We will be coming back! (Note: they don't mess around with the spice. I don't handle spice well and got a zero, and it was not spicy at all. The 1 my wife ordered had some heat and was way too spicy for me lol. Loved being able to get different heat levels.)

I am driven to review tonight (finally) because of the AMAZING veggies that the chef puts into the chicken curry. For just $2 ("extra veggies"), I get a divine variety of vegetables, many that I don't even recognize, but all are delicious. Honestly, it takes a simple curry to a gourmet level. We've had Lanna Thai many dozens of times. We love the delicious food, and the owners and servers are amazing--friendly, accommodating and quick. It's a great atmosphere to dine in, but they also do excellent takeout and allow us to bring our own containers for sustainability (pre-COVID).

Just had the basil stir fry lunch combo and it was SOOO good! The soup was delicious and I'm not a big soup person... The salad wasn't just iceberg either. If I lived in Reno I would come here all the time!

This place is delicious and fast! I love the khao soy, and it’s the only place you can get it in town!!
My only advice would be to skip the avocado rolls if you are expecting something fresh- they are loaded with cream cheese and deep fried, so they weren’t my favorite! Other than that, everything I’ve gotten here has been great!

Five years later and I still dream of Goong Opp Woonsen.

Chef Pim's Thai cuisine is next level good, and whether you like the classic curries or you're more of an adventurous food ranger, you'll find something super delicious to satisfy that craving.

The dish of my dreams is a seemingly simple glass noodle and shrimp stir fry. It's boldly seasoned, spicy, salty, acidic and sweet in all the right ways. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, flavored with a slight char from the wok. Crisp veggies too.

I have been back for it multiple times, and it's always delicious. In this

Friday takeout! Ordered the pot stickers, crab Rangoon, 2 yellow curry, 1 Penang curry, and 2 orange chicken. What a feast! Pot stickers were tasty, crunchy on the outside and generously filled on the inside. Crab Rangoon was perfect, right amount of filling n crab. Yellow curry is my favorite with #2 spicy. Lots of chicken, potatoes, onions, and carrots in a coconut sauce. The Penang is also an excellent choice. A favorite of my husband. Chicken, red bell pepper, green beans in Panama sauce. The orange chicken was tender and sauced perfectly. Of course, enough rice to have several servings. Always

After visiting Thailand this summer, we've been searching for a place that was as authentic as possible, sand this place definitely hit the spot.
My wife was dancing in her seat at the first taste of her Thai tea.
We got 2 different pad thai (shrimp & pork), at a 1 & a 3 spice level, which were both delicious, though we do tend to like a bit more saucey-ness to our pad Thai.
We had the Khao Soi, which was delicious, and had just enough heat to it.
My only disappointment was the mango sticky rice, flavor was good, but the sticky rice was almost too sticky and more like glued together
