Collecting a debt can be a long and arduous process. At Joshua P. Friedman & Associates, Inc., we never give up. One case we handled was years in the making. Our client hadn't received a penny from a former business associate in more than a decade. After years chasing this deadbeat debtor down, we finally found him.
We threw everything we had at him. We garnished his and his wife's wages, levied his bank and retirement accounts and even filed motions to have his employer added to the judgment. As the pressure mounted, the debtor cracked. He borrowed money from friends and family to settle the debt and make us go away.

Services
Our education, our experience and our hard-earned track record of success set us apart from the pack. At Joshua P. Friedman & Associates, Inc., our firm uses aggressive, strategic techniques that get results. We don't waste time. We know where debtors are most sensitive and we go after their weak spots.
After a long legal battle, you've finally prevailed. The court ruled in your favor and issued a piece of paper stating you are owed money. Unfortunately, that piece of paper is just that - a piece of paper. Turning your judgment into money is the hard part. Debtors will fight you every step of the way.
The process of collecting a commercial debt is one that is technical and can require wading through a large number of applicable laws and technical processes. Whether collecting a debt for the sale of goods, a lease agreement, or for services rendered, the process often involves multiple, competing interests and can be one that requires as much technical knowledge as it does grit and determination.
Just as commercial debt collection constitutes a unique challenge, so too does the collection of consumer debts. Our team at Joshua P. Friedman & Associates, Inc., is uniquely situated to handle these types of collection processes. We have immense knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations in the world of consumer debt collection, including the Fair Debt Practices Act, California's Rosenthal Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
California has long been a state where people from around the country and around the world come to work hard and make a better life for themselves. Whatever the industry, and there are many in this great state, millions of Californians work hard every day to provide for themselves and their families.

Horrible experience, our office tried reaching out to Joshua to seek assistance with an account placed with us. Joshua, demonstrated very unprofessional behavior. Multiple times cutting off and over talking individuals who were speaking. He met our request with grotesque disdain giving off the feeling that our company's situation was beneath him. It was discouraging to see first hand someone contributing to the poor reputation our industry already has.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
When I have clients with uncollected judgments, there is only one firm I trust to help them with their judgment enforcement and collection: Joshua P. Friedman and Associates. Josh and his team have the experience, knowledge and skill to locate assets and, most importantly, recover those assets for their clients.

Bad, bad, bad. Friedman calls me today regarding a potential case. I asked a question any client would ask about fees, and his rude response was "I don't work for free", and he hung up. Hung up! Im an attorney for 29 years and if this guy could be so rude and unprofessional to an attorney, then I am obligated to warn anyone to beware of him.

I called Mr. Friedman's office to discuss a matter involving the priority and seniority of various liens filed with the County and with the Secretary of State.
Mr. Friedman made himself immediately and personally available to me on the phone despite the fact that I did not have an appointment and despite the fact that we shared no prior professional relationship.
I strongly appreciated the professional demeanor with which Mr. Friedman conducted himself. He was extremely knowledgeable in responding to my concerns. In the future, I will be contacting Mr. Friedman to ask him to represent my clients
