As neuro-ophthalmologists in Houston, our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function.
Your first appointment will last 4 to 6 hours. Once your appointment is made a clinician assistant will be contacting you by phone to obtain a preliminary history. This information will help Dr. Tang to assess the urgency of your visit and determine if you should be seen sooner by herself or another specialist.

I was referred by my glaucoma specialist
to Dr Shah because he wanted me to be seen by a corneal specialist. Dr Shah was unable to see me in person but we had an immediate telehealth visit and she was able to tell me exactly what eye drops to use before our in-person appointment and also called in a prescription for me. I am very impressed with how my care was attended to so promptly and professionally.

Everyone is very friendly there. They have the process down. It is all very smooth and quick and the eye machines are very advanced. Dr. Fernandez is very knowledgeable and has great beside manners. Her smile is awesome. She did her evaluation and gave me clear diagnosis. She even explained the process and showed me the measurements. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their vision.

I’ve not had such an amazing experience like this at any doctors office.
I have MS and have lost some sight in my right eye. I wasn’t sure what was going on. The office staff and doctor explained things to me so that I understood.

I can honestly say that my visit in this office was a very good experience from the moment I walked through the front door. I felt welcomed instantly. The techs and assistants were very attentive, speedy, friendly and knowledgeable. The office is tech-savvy and had state of the art equipment for diagnostic purposes. Dr. Fernandez was also very friendly and knowledgeable and I felt like she really listened to the issues I was having and addressed my concerns well. This office is beyond 5 stars!

If all you want is a new contact prescription with no changes, then this is your place. If you want a complete eye exam with updates and tweaking of your prescription, go elsewhere. The eye doctor there is uninterested in improving your vision by corrective lenses. My prescription was over 2 years old and very badly needed tweaking, but instead of testing out stronger prescriptions he convinced me that I was better off sticking with my current strength and just wrote a prescription for the same thing. Now I kind of feel ripped off and I still can't see clearly.
