Little did Sam Cacia Sr. know, that when he opened that corner bakery on Mole and Ritner Streets in South Philadelphia in 1953, it would become an iconic business in the cityscape. Though fate did not allow him to live long enough to witness it, his eldest son Joe took the reigns, along with brothers Louis and Raymond, to ensure that the bakery would not only survive, but thrive.
Now, over 60 years later, and 4th generation in, you can still find Cacia family members at all of our locations! Joe's son Sam and grandson Joe now run the South Philly location ( although Joe Sr. can often be found still pushing bread too!) With Louis's son Sam in Blackwood and Raymond Sr. and his sons, Ray and Sal handling all other Jersey locations, the family continues to take pride in their work as owner /operators.

I love this old school Italian bakery. It is a cash only spot. Not only do they have fresh baked rolls but they have cookies too. You have to try their garlic bread, pizza, and you can even get roast pork. A guy came in while I was in there waiting for my garlic bread to toast. He asked the girls if they had any frozen roast pork. I had no idea they had that. The girls behind the counter are so friendly and helpful. They are always striking up conversations with the customers. This is a real neighborhood gem.

"Our pizza is square because we don't cut corners." Funny quote to have on their boxes, because they definitely cut a few when it comes to preparation and standards. We bought a sausage pizza, a tomato pie, and a third one that intriguingly had pulled pork on it - Interesting idea that made me fall in love at first sight, and it would've been absolutely fantastic if made better. The pizzas were dry, had no sauce or noticeable oil, and had a texture similar to day-old microwaved Domino's. I had to get creative and make pizza sandwiches, topping the pulled pork one with a

Delish!!!!!
Ordered two hoagies in the AM on our way down the shore and let me tell you, we were far from disappointed! The sandwiches were HUGE. Like wow, I could probably make three sandwiches just from the meat put on mine alone. Just the right amount of mayo, oil + vinegar, too. And the side of sweet peppers?! Wowza, can I buy that by the bottle to keep at home?!
Don't even get me started on the bread... isn't that why we all come here to begin with?
Super satisfied and will 100% be back.

Finally, finally I made it back to try the bear claw. On our way to Philly. Did not eat breakfast so we could eat some of the food. What a great place not 10 minutes later the bear claw and the Cherry Danish were gone. Outstanding.
So much other food there, subs, Pizza, stuffed hot peppers and more. We will be stopping back for a lunch. See pictures below.

Seriously this bakery is awesome. We never walk out of here without buying a ton. The cannolis are fresh and seasonal. Their pizza is delicious . Stuffed peppers are outrageously delicious . The hoagies are huge, tasty , and what the Olympian Gods would eat If they knew this place existed. If you drive by and don't stop I feel sorry for you.

OMG! I've heard of this place for years but, never really had a reason to drive to Hammonton to try it! Finally, after hearing someone, who's opinion I respect, go on and on about it I decided to give it a try! 1st off they bake their own bread and roast their own meats for their sandwiches, 2nd they fry their chicken cutlets to order, 3rd their pizza was amazing, 4th they have sticky buns and other sweet baked goods, 5th they're really friendly!
Alright, so the sandwich menu is pretty extensive. You got your basics (ham & cheese, tuna, etc.) all with cool names as well

This is one of about a half-dozen branches of a South Philadelphia Italian bakery, and the only bakery in Atlantic County that I know of that carries the traditional St. Joseph's Day Italian pastry known as Zeppole di San Giuseppe. They are a fritter type pastry. The traditional filling is a custard, but they also come with a sweet ricotta filling similar to what is found in a cannoli, as well as a creamy chocolate filling. All are topped with a cherry, and dusted with powdered sugar upon purchase. I bought 3 custard filled and one ricotta cheese filled as shown in my photo.

Great bread, pizza, and sandwiches.
The biscotti were the worst cookies I have ever purchased from a bakery. They were like eating chalk. They must have forgotten to put in the leavening agent which should have been obvious when they sliced them before second bake. No pockets of air and totally flat.
If a went back and threw the cookies at the front window, because they were horrible, they would go through like stones.
Hey please do something in your quality control to fix this, because you make so many nice things.

This place is great. The only thing I've gotten here is their cannolis and they are fantastic. In the summer they make blueberry cannolis from fresh blueberries and it's legitimately the best cannoli I've ever tasted. I've also seen their sandwiches and heard that their cold subs are excellent as well.

This place is more than a bakery. We have to stop in everytime we are in the Hamonton area. My fiance and I love driving around and hiking thru Batsto and Wharton State Forest. We stop here on our way to grab the perfect sandwich for a picnic. Go to their website and click on "specials". It will list all the varieties of sandwiches Casia's has to offer. There is always some kind of bread stuffed with sausage, cheese, brocolli rabe, or peperoni displayed in the front case. They usually have a nice variety of pizzas or tomato pie along with every Italian dessert you can imagine. They
