I was a first time customer. I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I had tire monitors (after market) on all 4 wheels.They informed me that one was bad which caused the leak. Unfortunately the tire warning light came on again while we were on vacation in SC. The shop in SC found a small nail in the tire. I'm sure that with past experience of the monitors leaking,the mechanic at Powhaten Tire might have just assumed that was the cause. (I probably would have also in the past).I understand that those monitors can go bad and I replaced them all before we left on our trip. Bing elderly and disabled

Powhatan Tire and Services is an exceptional value. I saved over $300 on tires and installation here versus the big online stores. It was a shocking experience to find a local retail store that can undercut all of the internet pricing that I did. I added in a oil change, 50k service and state inspection to the order. Those prices were very fair and I was pleased to see everything was well done. While I was waiting, a lady came in just to say thanks for the tire recommendation. The explanations and advice that I overheard while waiting seemed well intentioned and honest. Very please with this small

You all put the wrong oil filter in my 2000 ford ranger. It's too small and now I can't get it off myself. This was when I just lost someone in my family and you tried to tell me that you'd only pass my tires because you were sorry for my loss. You did that because you noticed I had a brand new tire and the other three were a little older. You probably would've failed me if it were a normal situation, because then I'd have to come back to y'all. Well, it's been six months and my tires are still fine. Don't tell me I need new tires because mine are "borderline". Don't lie to people. It's so simple

I feel like this place tried to take my hard-earned money by misdiagnosing the issue on my vehicle and then replacing parts I knew did not need replacing without consulting me. And then expecting payment for hours of labor which i did not authorize. To their credit, the parts and a portion of the labor was written off in the end because it would have taken too much work to put the old parts back in. Regardless, I still paid an hour of labor for zero progress on the issue I brought it to them for. I won’t be back.

My father is a mechanic and was visiting from out of town when he needed to take his car to a shop for some tire issues. Powhatan Tire and Services were able to get us in right away for a look and my father felt they were the real deal. Honest people, thorough work, honest pricing. I also had issues with a flat tire and they tried their best to plug it but could not. I had to go back to the business where I originally bought the tire because it was under warranty but PTS took me in and even changed my tire to the spare so I could get safely to the next location. I highly recommend!

I've been going to Powhatan Tire & Service for years. IT'S THE ONLY PLACE I TAKE MY CARS! I even went there when I lived in NC for two years. I would come back to Richmond to visit family and would get my cars serviced while I was in town! The employees are good, honest, hard working people. I always recommend them to all of my family and friends.
