If you think you're going to get away paying $1K, keep thinking. There are many, many extras (necessities) that are only mentioned after your first $1K has been spent. The testing proved to be inadequate (wrong); trying to save ended up costing $8K and major headaches because the project was mishandled.

Bussey Environmental's response time to callbacks is not the best, but all of their environmental services are absolutely amazing, so it's worth the initial struggle.
The man KNOWS HIS STUFF. He gets called to check on all of the historical buildings across Chicago, and even some of our museums and popular tourist destinations. He has 30+ years experience, as well as contacts if any further work is needed.

We are very happy with the services we received by Brian Bussey. He was recommended by my doctor to see if something in our house environment was causing my symptoms. Brian has a friendly and honest presence about him, and he cared to take a thorough history of our experience in our house. He spent a lot of time with us doing an inspection and answering all our questions. He is personable and knowledgeable, and we were happy with our choice to work with him. We suspected mold in our apartment in the Lakeview area and I wanted someone who was a mold inspection expert to check it out. As soon became apparent, maybe 90% of those who are listed as mold inspection outfits also do mold remediation. The potential for conflict of interest is obvious, so I wanted someone who only performed mold inspection, leaving any clean-up or repair work to others.
So, with that as a filter, I found Bussey Environmental Inc., read their positive reviews, and gave them a call. On that first call Brian Bussey was very generous with his time

Would be zero stars if that was an option. My Condo Association hired Bussey Environmental to test for mold in my unit after 18 plumbing leaks from the negligent Board member who lives above us. Mold appeared on the bathroom ceiling and wall as a result and I had cleaned it off with bleach. Brian Bussey came out and tested for mold (theoretically in my bathroom), but performed the testing in the adjacent bedroom next to our very expensive air filter... Not surprisingly his test showed no mold. The disturbing thing is that in his report back to the Board, he stated that the only work necessary was

Not normally a reviewer writer, but Brian deserves it! He has been so gracious with his time, patience, and wisdom with saving our home. Our home was contaminated, which displaced us for almost five months and made our daughter ill,, and during this time we worked with Brian and a toxicologist to get back home. Brian has a vas knowledge base. He took our calls after hours and was most generous with his time. I doubt any other professional would have done the same.
