Services
South Fork Lodge is set "in-town" within the breathtaking Rio Grande National Forest, over 8200 feet above sea level. Our facilities offer a unique, comprehensive lodging experience in southwest Colorado. Our lodge includes a number of shared facilities available seasonally for use by our guests. Our on-property common area features a fully-equipped kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and serving utensils.
Because of our optimal and highly desirable location, there is a high demand for accommodations at our lodge. Therefore, we must enforce a strict cancellation and no-show policy. A 30-day cancellation notice is required during all holiday seasons including Spring Break; otherwise a 14-day notice is required during all other times throughout the year.
Our sites are located off the highway for convenience and easy-access, while still providing a quiet environment. All our sites are wide enough for slideouts, with 17 being 45 feet or longer and wide enough for your toys. We also have ample parking for trailers. Additional accommodations are also available at a number of our sites, including 3 pull-through sites and 13 with 50 amp electrical service.

Very disappointed with this place. Like other reviews say, the owners seem nice at first, but the truth soon reveals itself. The cabin was dusty and freezing cold, the shower was clogged, and the toilet was clogged. The furniture is old and falling apart. And they will charge you damage fees for items that were already damaged or on the brink of breaking. Very immoral business practices take place in this lodge; don't be fooled by first impressions.

We found this little place in our way through Colorado. The owners were very friendly as well was their dog who likes to greet you at the front desk. The cabin was nice and clean with everything you would need to stay many days. Just be careful with the heater is can get warm fast. We will definitely be back when we have more time.

While traveling and living full time in RV we all have our share of favorite RV parks and for me South Fork Lodge and RV Park is one of them. What makes this park different and stand out from the rest is the owners they really care about this RV park and their guest. The RV park is simple and quiet no annoying guest blasting music after hours. Everyone is respectful and kind and I believe it starts from the owners. The location is perfect to explore all the surrounding areas. We came for a few weeks and stayed for more than a month. I don't like to give away my best parks, but these guys deserve

Perfect place to escape the summer heat. Cabins have more usable square footage then any others in the area. They are not crammed with 10 beds. It’s like your own mountain cottage. Clean and comfortable. WiFi was excellent with almost 70 down and 35 up in the middle of summer. RV sites are the largest in the upper Rio Grande Valley. The entire property of cabins and RV sites are managed by on site owners who are personable and responsive. I’ve seen people come in late after eating places have closed and the owner brought food to the visitors. Nobody cares more. Book early as this place fills

Stayed a 4 day weekend here in our camper. Sites was clean and nice with tables. The bathhouse was cleaned. David and Suzette was very friendly and helpful. They would answer any questions and help out. They come around every day checking and just talk to you and treated you like family. I will stay here again and also recommend this to friends and family.

WOW!! My family had an absolute BLAST here! We were completely blown away. We stayed in Cabin #3, which is 2 bedrooms. It was extremely comfortable for our family-of-three. It could easily fit a family of 6. One bedroom had a king bed, and the other bedroom had a double and a twin bed. There was also a rollaway bed in the king bedroom's closet. It was above and beyond what most cabins provide: full kitchen with utensils, bathroom with lots of towels, HUGE TV with cable, and even a box fan was provided. The owners are extremely kind, welcoming people and were very accommodating. We stayed here for

FYI: new owners as of 6/1/18. They seem nice on the phone but admit there is fixin' up to do. We'll be there in a week and will let you know.
We got there and our space was a back in and very narrow. The electric box was not finished being repaired. And not safe to use. We found a better place in town and were refunded our money.

These are nice and cozy historical cabins. The owner of the property told me the cabins are well over 100 years old. The it's obvious indoor plumbing is an add-on because bathroom layout is a bit odd but it just adds to the quaintness IMO. There is plenty of hot water and the heater keeps things nice and warm. The gas to our stove was turned off and we did not inquire about using it opting for the provided charcoal grill and my MSR stove to cook dinner. My only real complaint was the fitted sheet did not stay on the mattress, a small annoyance but worth addressing. I would recommend these

We enjoyed a great stay at this campground in our Winnebago View. With new owners David and Suzette creating a warm and welcoming place to spend an evening while traveling cross-country from NY, who could ask for more! Full hook-up, spotless laundry and bath facilities are always a plus in my travel journal. There were also quaint cottages and accommodation for large rv's. Conveniently located on Hwy 160. We will certainly be back next time we're traveling through Colorado.
