A native of Bogota, Colombia; Dr. Amaya worked for the government providing dental services and developing prevention programs. He got a second degree in the field, Doctor of Dental Surgery, from Loma Linda University in California, U.S. in 2005. After graduation, Dr. Amaya moved to Atlanta, GA; and worked at Atlanta Dental Center from 2007 to 2012.

First off I want to say that the facility was extremely clean and exceeded my expectations! The COVID guideline were met and I personally saw them sanitize everything that was touched after every patient. I want to take this moment to say thank you to the front desk staff who were wonderful and so welcoming. They took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and assured I was as comfortable as possible prior to my procedure. Thank you so much to all !!

So disappointed by this dental office. I was a first-time patient I was completely blind-sighted that they were OUT of network for my insurance. I asked if my insurance would cover my appointment when I first called and I was assured it would. Instead of my $50 deductible - I had to pay $176 for a filling. Admin should communicate better with their patient. I will not be returning.

I'm so glad to have found Amaya Dental! The staff is kind, hospitable and welcoming as I am a new patient and they have a beautiful and clean office. I have done cleanings with Heather twice now and she is really down to earth and knowledgeable. I like that she is passionate about educating. Dr. Amaya is also very kind. Definitely recommended!

Excellent dental office with everyone greetings you with a welcoming smile. I really look forward to getting my deep teeth cleaning by Jackie the hygienist your teeth feel so smooth after no pains. Dr. Amaya is a perfectionist guaranteed absolute satisfaction with any dental issues. I personally never been turned down for any last minute dental emergencies and that's why I'll continue going to Amaya dental office. The place is always spotless and there's always parking and coffee.

A little over a year ago I had a very bad experience here. I have been coming to this office since I was a little girl (and they have the albums to prove it in the waiting area) one of the hygienist scraped my tooth and after being angry about it and the fact that I did not like how it was handled was worse. I was prepared to leave and find another dentist. Finally I was able to talk to Dr. Scholl (who has been there since I was a kid) and he LISTENED to me and heard me out as to why I was so upset and took a look at my tooth and we talked it through. Needless to say I came back. Today I went in

But after going to Dr. Amaya for a cleaning and x-Rays, I can tell you that my opinion of dentists has changed dramatically.
This office understands that an appointment time means something. I did not wait like you do in most medical offices. And the hygienist was very professional and sensitive to my anxiety of having my teeth cleaned.
Dr. Amaya was thorough and professional. Answered all my questions and actually listened to me!
