Expanding operations to Rochester, NY in 1969, Lafayette has always prided itself in being 100% focused on customer satisfaction. With over 40 years of experience in household goods moving and storage, Lafayette has grown into a classic Family Owned and Operated organization.
Alfonso J. Ferrentino purchased Lafayette in 1959, and still remains active as President and C.E.O. He is supported by his son Vincent Ferrentino, Vice President, his son Mark Ferrentino, Operations Manager, his son Matt Ferrentino, Local Operations & Dispatch and his daughter Catherine Ferrentino, Office and Accounts Manager.

In 1990, Lafayette Storage & Moving expanded its base by building EXIT 46 SELF STORAGE, right next to our existing warehouse and office. This addition to our core business of moving and palletized storage, allows us to expand our customer base, and provide SELF STORAGE services as well!

It is 25 feet high, and filled with clean, dry wooden crates that we load your goods into and stack 3 high. Each wooden crate holds about 1 room of furniture, and each crate contains CLEAN DRY FURNITURE PADS to wrap your goods with! Our warehouse crew takes their time to unload your goods from your truck or ours, pad up everything carefully and load EVERYTHING into our wooden storage crates.
