Welcome to Around The Son Preschool and Skyland United Methodist Church, located in Asheville, North Carolina. In 1996, the Church recognized the need for a Christian-based preschool in our community. Throughout the years we have developed a program that is designed to give families the opportunity to experience God's love through a Christian education program dedicated to preschoolers.
Our main focus is for the children to develop a love for learning and a love for Jesus. Because of our excellent teacher/child ratio, we give quality time to each child allowing them to grow, learn and discover themselves in a positive environment.

Around the Son Preschool is committed to providing a quality Christian preschool program available to the children of Asheville and surrounding communities in Western North Carolina. We believe in a developmentally appropriate curriculum that nurtures children's spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
It is our purpose to nurture the children you entrust to our care, to encourage them to succeed in their learning experiences, and to offer them every opportunity to enjoy preschool. Around the Son Preschool strives to impart a positive biblical influence in the hearts and minds of our children.
Through our rich and challenging environment we encourage children to explore God's world, to be curious, to problem-solve and to learn through a variety of activities and experiences.We believe that children learn best through play which calls for initiative, imagination, purposefulness, fine and gross motor skills and social adaptation.

Around the Son Preschool employs teachers with specialized training in early childhood education who display a strong commitment to the Christian ministry of Skyland United Methodist Church, located in south Asheville. Our early childhood educators recognize that preschool-age children are active learners.
Around the Son Preschool accepts children of all racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds, including those children with special needs. The preschool emphasizes the importance and uniqueness of each child, and provides an environment in which each child is accepted, nurtured, and encouraged to grow to their full potential.
