The best thing about Mnemosyne Studio is not the studio itself (though the studio is absolutely stunning) it's Christy and Ray! From the moment you walk into the Studio, Christy and Ray are so excited to meet you. They are absolute professionals! Once my hair and makeup was done by Katie, Christy and Ray went through the outfits I brought for my headshots. Let me tell you, they are an amazing hype crew!! Looking for someone to refresh your head shot? Looking to GET a head shot? Look no further - Christy and Ray of Mnemosyne Studio are amazing at what they do - finding the inner YOU and helping him/her shine through. I went in looking for a professional head shot and came out with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. While I was initially anxious about some of the poses and posturing, these two helped put me at ease and found a way to help me articulate all that I bring to my work and my life. We set up for a maternity shoot and changed to a family portrait session. Christy was super flexible and willing to change our session. Once there for our session she was extremely professional and helpful with explaining the different packages and making us feel comfortable. She was also super patient with our 3 month old. She had ideas for outfits for each pose, different poses, helped direct us in the poses and again kept our daughter entertained/smiling for the pictures. Everything was super easy for us and couldn't be happier with our first family portraits that will last a lifetime!

I stopped by to ask some questions about the studio and they really took their time to explain how they are different from other photography studios. I was very impressed with how much time they took to explain the process and how they stand behind the photos they take. They start off with a consultation with you prepping you for the photo shoot making sure they understand What type of photos you want taken and they even help you coordinate your wardrobe. I cannot even begin to explain the amazing experience I had with my photo shoot. Please understand, my anxiety kicks up 10 fold at the thought of having any kind of professional pictures taken of me. Christy and Ray made me feel like family. I was so comfortable and even excited days leading up to my shoot. The makeover was a blast (something I've never allowed anyone to do LOL) and the shoot itself was so much fun!!! But the best part was the reveal. The owners at this studio are the most wonderful people you will ever meet. Not only do they do their own photography in the studio, but they rent space to other photographers as well. They are very polite and personable. The studio itself is gorgeous with two separate seating areas, and a private makeup room with a sectioned off changing area. Oh did I mention they have a coffee bar?! These two amazing people really knew what they were doing and I've never seen a place in North Carolina quite as amazing as this place. Would definitely recommend to everyone that I know.

I modeled with Christy in her studio and got some amazing shots. She dials in perfect lighting and makes great changes on the fly to create the right mood. She is really good at giving direction and making creative changes. Her photo retouching was top notch. The whole experience was wonderful. She's so much fun to work with - and I've been modeling for 20+ years. One of my favorites.
