We brought our Honda in and needed an emergency fix to a loose oil pan shield that was dragging under the car. Ohana Veh. Serv. squeezed us in between appointments to fix the loose part. It took the amazing workers 30min to fix our problem and we were able to go on our day. We definitely will be back for other service needs.

These guys are fantastic. Reasonable rates, reliable, always friendly. I use them for maintenance and repairs on both our family cars and most recently had an electrical problem. Although they could have done an expensive repair, they suggested trying something simple and it worked. I appreciate these folks.

We have had problems with getting our cars serviced here. All the big shops have tried to gouge us and sell us on major repairs when minor is all that is required. We had our car towed into TW in Kahului with a stuck brake rotor. They refused to unstick it unless we let them rebuild the whole front braking system. We had to have it towed out of there. That is how we found Sheri and the guys at Ohana. They fixed it same day for a fraction of what TW was trying to soak us for. They are by far the best in the area. Fast, friendly and reasonable and you never have to wonder if you are getting exactly

Summary: Saved me a thousand dollars in unnecessary repairs by doing their due diligence and being honest.
Been having brake issues for over a year and nothing seems to fix it. Another garage here in Kihei couldn't definitively figure out the problem, so they recommended replacing the master cylinder and/or booster, an $800-$1000 job. Took it in to Ohana Vehicle Services for a second opinion.
I gave them carte blanche to do that job if they saw fit, but instead they told me over the phone about a recall on the ABS system for my model. Called a dealership and found out it's not exactly a recall

Ohana Vehicle Services was thorough, honest and friendly during my recent car repair. They explained the scope of the potential situation, diagnosed it using the Alldata system, and went the extra mile for me. I am new to the island and in the process of buying used car. I brought the car into Ohana Vehicle Services to have it inspected for safety and hidden problems before I buy. They could not have been more helpful. The woman at the front desk (I will catch names next time) was very friendly, patiently listened while I explained the things I wanted them to look at, and didn't even make me feel rushed or stupid when I had to look through my phone to find the name of the belt I had read they should check. The mechanic took my car and spent an hour and a half on the inspection...truly used the time

Just got an oil change and they were very professional. I made an appointment and they were ready when I arrived and got the oil change done in an hour. Informed me of some other issues they came across but nothing urgent.
There's another review here that says their prices are out of line but I didn't think so at all. I paid $110 for an oil change with a new air filter using synthetic oil. That's about the average cost on Maui for newer cars, and it was the kind of service that makes me want to come back.

They do a good job and I trust them to tell me what's wrong with my car. But that comes at a premium. They are way overpriced and most times I cannot afford to go to them.
What I've started doing is to take my car there and pay to get any problems diagnosed. Then once I know exactly what the problem is, I order the parts from Napa and then take it to a more reasonable place or call a mobile mechanic to have the actual work done.
I understand the need to make a profit, but their prices are out of line--even for Maui.

I actually had service done November 2014 while living on Maui. I have since moved back to the mainland, however I was just going through my auto repair receipts and coming across my bill with Ohana Vehicle services prompted me to write this review... even at this late date!

The work is good, but a bit shady and very very expensive. I paid $300 for a new battery and cable??? ( I almost laughed out loud because I thought he was joking). It was no joke. I must be a sucker because I reluctantly went back for another repair. I paid $80 up front for the diagnostics, and then when the work was performed, I got charged another $80 for diagnostics. When I complained, I was told that he still needed to perform the diagnostics as part of the repair! I complained that he "sold" me the diagnostic "package", it was his recommendation. ... why pay for it separately

Love this place! Was visiting a friend while on vacation when her car started having trouble. Called and the shop got us in that day. The owner Dave is a really good guy and an HONEST mechanic which is so hard to find these days. Its a family owned shop and I honestly felt like I had a friend or a family member working on my car! Plus prices are affordable. I don't live on the island but my friend said she will definitely be coming back!
