Services
The Center for Pastoral Counseling of Virginia was established in 1996. We provide professional counseling that is sensitive to relational and emotional issues, as well as to spiritual issues. Our counselors bring traditional psychological training to their work, with additional expertise in working with clients from a spiritual frame of reference.
People seek counseling for a variety of reasons, and different counselors vary in their approaches to helping clients address the issues that they bring in to counseling. It is important that you feel comfortable with the counselor with whom you choose to work. Center for Pastoral Counseling of Virginia has a variety of therapists who come from diverse backgrounds and have many different approaches to counseling.
The Center for Pastoral Counseling of Virginia (CPC) seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Clinician, who is looking to join a community of counselors to grow professionally and contribute to the organization. Must have a Master's level degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage, Family Counseling.
Our donors make a difference in the lives of the people around us and strengthen our entire community by ensuring that quality mental health services can be offered to those with little or no income through our Low Income Client Assistance Fund. Our CPC counselors donate over many hours in reduced-fee and pro bono counseling.
Individual counseling is a collaborative process, and the more work and investment you put into it, the more progress you are likely to experience. It is important to not only talk with your counselor openly during your sessions, but also to focus on practicing strategies that will help with your healing, in between sessions as well.
