Growing up in Omer, MI, Shane's passion for carpentry was cultivated at a young age while working by his Dad's side building their family home - board by board, nail by nail. In his early teens, you'd often find Shane up at the neighbor's or over at a friend's painting, fixing or remodeling all sorts of things.
Shane Cobb, At Home Inspections owner and interNACHI Certified Profession Inspector, provides professional, comprehensive home inspections in addition to a number of optional testing services. After inspections or testing, you will receive a detailed report with all items inspected (or tested), findings, annotated pictures, areas of concern and recommendations.
During your inspection, we'll be taking detailed notes and pictures of all areas inspected. The same day of inspection, we'll be entering all data into a formal, comprehensive report. We also personalize your report, where and when appropriate, with observations we made and potential recommendations.
InterNACHI inspectors are trained and certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the world's largest association of residential and commercial property inspectors. I'm required to stay up to date with the industry's most rigorous Continuing Education through online, video and live training courses, which have been awarded more than 1,400 approvals and accreditations by governmental and other agencies;.

Overall it was a great experience. As a first time home buyer, Shane made it very clear at all times what he was doing and was more than happy to answer all of my questions. I felt better knowing that he was there to make sure we were aware of any issues and he even suggested ways to fix them. I would reccomend Shane to anyone who needs a home inspection.

I would highly recommend Shane, he was very thorough and informative. We recently did an inspection with him on our first home, and honestly we didn’t know a lot about homes to begin with but walking away from the inspection we felt so informed about the home we are buying and how to manage it. He took the time to explain stuff to us, and get to know us so he not only was inspecting the living conditions of the home but how the home was set up for our current situation as well. Well worth the money! 💯👍
