St. Rita of Cascia High School is a Catholic college preparatory school for young men, rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the tradition of St. Augustine, following the Augustinian philosophy of education. St. Rita aims to form each student as a whole person: spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially, and to provide its young men with the necessary skills to succeed in college and in life, leading to life-long learning and personal awareness.
Through the Augustinian core values of Veritas (Truth), Unitas (Unity), and Caritas (Love), St. Rita strives to develop a bond between the members of the entire family: Augustinians, faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni. In the spirit of our Father, St. Augustine, we will be of one mind and one heart on our way to God.

Services
For 117 years now, St. Rita has been a premier high school option for young men in the city of Chicago and our students know they have a "home" for these four years and beyond. We attract a variety of students and families, and we are a school that embraces diversity in all areas. Students choose St. Rita over closer-to-home options and when they arrive as Mustangs, they dive in head-first to all we have to offer.
Being on the St. Rita Contact List will allow you to receive information throughout the year about upcoming Grade School events, Open Houses, Camps & Clinics, and everything you would need to know about St. Rita. You can also access our latest Admissions Viewbook online. Students wishing to visit St. Rita are encouraged to spend a Shadow Day here.
Through the generosity of our benefactors, St. Rita's financial aid and scholarship committee aims to assist the largest number of families based on limited resources. Each incoming class is awarded financial aid and scholarships based on unique criteria guidelines.
While new scholarships are added and changes to scholarships may occur, we will continue to grant financial aid and scholarships based on class-specific criteria in order to provide consistent award packages for our families each year.Tuition for the 2021-2022 School Year is $13,175 including a yearly $400 registration fee.

Since my son has been at St. Rita, I couldn't imagine him attending any other high school. St. Rita is the "perfect fit" for Kyle. He has maintained his high level of academic excellence while balancing his sports and other extra-curricular activities. St. Rita has helped Kyle to understand the true meaning of brotherhood.
St. Rita High School is committed to providing students with the most efficient, affordable and safest transportation possible. Our nine (9) privately-owned shuttle buses allow students to have a convenient commute at a lower cost. For the 2021-22 School Year: St. Rita plans to offer nine (9) bus routes with four (4) pick-up and drop-off locations (at local grammar schools or other stops) along each of the nine (9) routes.

I attended this school (when it was on 63rd and Western) from 1971 through 1973 (Freshmen and Sophomore years).
This was back in the day when when you got he paddle for talking or chewing gum in class. Or you got "Saturday Jug". You came to school on Saturday for detention. That was worse then the paddle. I was there when future Bears NFL player Dennis Lick was there. Emanule Williams (in my class 1-K and 2-N) set the city or state records for some track events.
Teachers I remember were, Mr. Igo, Mr. Eckert, Mr. Erb, Mr. Szot, Mr. Gasiki, Mr. Boro, Mr. Laskey and Mr. Jeffery. Discipline

I am not sure why but I have been very nostalgic lately. I have been going through old pictures, revisiting places from my childhood and my youth and going through my high school yearbooks. I have been going back to the simple care-free times. Start of a midlife crisis maybe? I doubt it but I get like this from time to time.
Anyway I digress...
I attended all four years here and I still go to football games, alumni events and made some lifelong friends here. I am happy I made the decision. I am not going to go into detail about the academics, athletics, staff and faculty. They are all top notch

Obviously, as St. Rita is an all guys school, I can't speak to the experience of attending St. Rita as a student.
However, I was a full-fledged band nerd in high school, so I think I'm qualified to write a review. Our all girl's school partnered with the band program at St. Rita, so I spent many an afternoon on the premises.
St Rita is one of the few private schools in that area that's been able to stay alive. I know of guys who came from the far suburbs to attend St. Rita, and various guys in my family have been proud graduates from there as well.
And it's right
