At Compassion Veterinary Clinic, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are. Dr. Patil grew up in India as part of a large family of doctors of human medicine. He was influenced by one of his teachers to pursue veterinary medicine. Dr. Patil graduated from Mysore Veterinary College in Bengaluru, India in 1981 with honors in pathology.
While persuing his veterinary studies he was also quite accomplished in sports and represented his University in Field Hockey. Courtney Lewis graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She worked and volunteered at the Tufts Wildlife clinic before and during her time at the school, where she gained a deep appreciation for the wildlife of New England.

In 1998 two 10 week old kittens were found by a client at the Marlborough Golf course. The kittens were adopted by the office manager of the clinic and brought home where they were so active they appeared to be bouncing off the walls like ping pong balls, hence their names. Pong, who was a bit obsessive compulsive and required much more attention, was later brought to the clinic to live where there was lots of activity to make him happy.
Colby joined our staff after a very brief stint as a volunteer in 2005. We needed him in a hurry and he did an outstanding job, which is consistent with his work here ever since. There are many titles besides 'Mr. Reliable' that we could give Colby, but the one that stands out would have to be the 'mother-hen' of the patients at the clinic.
She has a keen eye for detail and a skill for organizing and removing clutter that tends to build with a mind of its own. Pets recognize her as an animal lover and are very comfortable around her. She can often be heard talking to the boarders and it almost sounds as if they are talking back. Always willing to give a helping hand when needed, Meghan is very much appreciated by all the staff.
