Dr. Toyzer is an optometrist in Havertown providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities. Dr. Barry J. Toyzer specializes in pediatric, family eye care and hard to fit contact lenses. His office is conveniently located just three minutes from I-476, and patients come to him from many counties in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
Dr. Toyzer and the The Eye Doctors team take even routine eye exams very seriously. During a yearly or bi-yearly examination, our Havertown patients will receive a patient history review, a series of vision and eye tests, assessments of eye focusing and movement, and an eye health evaluation. Our optometrist will discuss any additional testing that may be required to diagnose an eye disease or condition.
Many patients with vision problems heartily embrace the idea of enjoying vision correction without having to wear eyeglasses or contact lenses. Not all of these patients, however, are good candidates for PRK or Lasik surgery, the two standard surgeries used to alter the way the cornea of the eye refracts light.

The experience I had today was totally state-of-the-art. The staff was great and the eye doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough. Dr Barry examined my eyes in every way possible to check the overall health of my eyes. The equipment he had was like no other. BEST EYE EXAM EVER!!!!! The receptionist Honey and the young lady who measured me for my frames and lenses was absolutely phenomenal. My experience was super. Thanks again for doing what you do because it’s the best!!!

The woman who is answering the phone is very rude I try to book an appointment for eye contact today and the woman avoiding me put me on hold she was screaming like she couldn’t hear me and all of this because i have an accent and she couldn’t understanding me. Is not the only eye office in the area if they want customers they better take care the front desk

I don't know why people are saying the front desk staff is excellent. I simply called in for my grandmother to see if they accepted the AARP Vision discount, and Honey was extremely rude. Something to the tune of that I was "rambling on." Perhaps Dr. Toyzer should think about hiring someone who knows a little bit about professionalism.

Move to the area recently and am so happy I found Dr. Toyzer. He is a thorough professional who knows his stuff. He’s got the latest technology and is able to take pictures of the entire eye without the need for dilation, which means no light sensitivity afterwards. I even got to see my eyes in 3-D! He is very personable, as is his entire staff. I love the frames his optician recommended. Dr. Toyzer is observing Covid protocols to the max and I felt safe in the office.

It is awesome to look at the back of my eyes without having drops put in my eyes and waiting 45 minutes in the eye doctors office,and then wearing the dark glasses home after the doctor looks in my eyes.
Dr. Toyzer has all the state of the art equipment in his office that allows you to get a full eye examination the modern way. Then he has a full selection of glass or contact lens for you to pick from!

Dr. Toyzer and his staff are excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable and keeps up with modern technology for prevention and diagnosis of eye problems. He corrected a simple eye problem that a previous optometrist simply ignored and gave good recommendations for eye health. He's also a really nice guy!! I cannot say enough good things...the office is inviting and clean, everyone is very pleasant, nice glasses selection, no long wait, and they clearly explained insurance coverage options when choosing between glasses and contacts. Highly recommend!
