In 2003, Anne Markowitz Recht realized that most care providers lacked the personalized, compassionate touch that aging people and their loved ones desire. In response, she founded AMR Care Group in her own home. The company's growth and success is a direct result of keeping true to our mission. In 2020, AMR Care Group joined forces with Caring People to continue providing excellent home health care services to the New York area.
Care Managers assess the full spectrum of needs of our clients and figure out the best way to provide for each one. Our Care Managers meet with clients and their families to assess their situation and come up with a completely customized care plan to improve quality of life. We act as an advocate to ensure that our client's health, social, financial and legal needs are being met.
We provide quality local caregivers in your community for professional, attentive in-home care. Anne Markowitz Recht, LMSW, CMC is the founder and CEO of AMR Care Group. She has been a Care Manager since 2000. Anne is a former director of the Family and Children's Guardianship Program and has held various administrative positions at other nonprofit organizations.

Our Care Managers are Licensed Master Social Workers with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge. We are Aging experts who will help to ensure your loved one's health, social, financial and legal needs are being met.
AMR Care Group takes a holistic approach to provide the most comfortable care environment. This encompasses medication management, home safety, socialization, nutrition, spiritual needs and family dynamics. Based on our keen assessment, we are able to produce a tailored care plan to meet your individual needs.

I cannot say enough about AMR. My parents were completely opposed to having in home help, but after just a few days they were in love with their caretakers.
The people caring for my parents are so committed to their jobs. They work so hard to make sure that they are well cared for and comfortable.
The administrators of AMR are equally committed. They make sure that their workers are well trained and professional. They are so responsive to our needs. AMR is a wonderful company and we are thrilled that they are here for us.

Completely out to lunch. I looked over their current coterie of "companions" and found one singer I knew. I applied with a Bryn Mawr degree and forty years of experience in communications and the arts. When I followed up on my CV, the manager refused to take my call and had one of the other staff members say "We'll get back to you." Well, needless to say, no one ever did. This place is a joke.
