Services
We serve a range of ages and abilities with classes geared towards every age group - including but not limited to: moms and babies, tweens and teens, and the geriatric community. Our space has top-of-the line equipment, experienced instructors, abundant light, high ceilings, and wood floors. This warehouse-like space is in the heart of the Upper West Side, caddy-corner to Zabar's on W 80th, and just a block from the 79th Street subway.
This class is specifically for those who have taken the first pelvic floor workshop. Reinforce what you've already learned and delve deeper into breath and accessing your diaphragm, your deep abdominals that serve as a corset for your spine and organs, and the pelvic floor itself. This is a gentle, partially seated (or on the floor for those who can) workout.
Pilates is a full body workout that tones, strengthens, and lengthens muscles, while continuously working the core - without building bulk! Popular with Hollywood mainstays like Natalie Portman and Kerry Washington, Pilates is a mind-body workout that uses a series of controlled movements on specially designed apparatus or a mat.
Featured on Access Hollywood as "Pilates Trainer to the Stars, " Randi has been teaching Pilates for over 17 years, and considers every one of her client a "Star"!. Randi began Pilates in 1999 after having back surgery, as the only form of exercise that addressed asymmetries in the musculature of her back resulting from scoliosis.
In addition to the fabulous instructors who teach private Pilates lessons, we are pleased to introduce. Randi studied with Romana Kryzanowska, protege of Joseph Pilates; Sue Hitzman, founder of the MELT Method; and Julie Tupler, creator of Diastasis Rehab. She is also certified in Power Pilates mat and is a pelvic floor guru.

I’ve been going to NYC Pilates for a few months and I really enjoyed every session! The teacher is expert knowing how the body works and every movement makes sense. I need to use PC all day for my work and had sore back before but it got much better since I started. So sad to leave the town and can’t go there for a while but I’ll definitely go back there once I’m back in the city!

I have been taking classes at NYC Pilates since they have opened their doors and I am very impressed with their shift to virtual classes. These virtual classes enable me to stay in shape while working out with my favorite instructor (Randi, who is also the owner). I feel more in shape now than I did just a few weeks ago!

My virtual Pilates sessions with Randi have been a godsend during this pandemic. I’ve found it relatively easy to do cardio but I would never do the lengthening and toning on my own. Her attention to my form has not diminished despite being virtual. Plus she has such a positive outlook. I always feel better mentally and physically after my sessions.

I have been going to NYC Pilates for years, and I am so grateful that I could continue my pilates workout during the pandemic while sheltering in place. For the past month I have been taking pilates mat class virtually via Zoom. The virtual class is as challenging, if not more, than the in house class. Randi explains all the movements and exercises very clearly, and even watches you to see if you're doing it correctly! I look forward to getting off my couch and taking my pilates Zoom class with NYC Pilates twice a week!!

Randi is a great pilates teacher. She helped me get back into shape after both my daughters were born. I've been working with her for over 10 years, and I am much stronger for it! She is a lovely person as well, and the studio is beautiful.
Also, I highly recommend her online classes and private sessions. It's just like being in the studio with her. Randi gives the same detailed feedback and helpful encouragement. I am so grateful to be able to work with her while sheltering in place.

I absolutely love Eleni’s virtual mat class. Her class is creative, vigorous and a lot of fun. Live Pilates classes via Zoom from NYC Pilates have really helped me get through these long weeks at home. I feel like I’m doing something good for my body, mind and spirit and I enjoy connecting with a great teacher who offers lots of personalized attention just like in a studio class. Eleni is a fantastic teacher and her virtual mat classes are my new favorite way to start my day.

I loved NYC Pilates tower classes, but was a bit skeptical trying online mat classes as I thought it was going to be disorganized and slightly boring. As it turned out I couldn’t have been more wrong. Every week the class varied and it is a really great full body work out. Nice job NYC Pilates team!

Best. Pilates. In NYC. I had the best private pilates instructor back home & was so happy to find a facility that felt just the same. I love taking their tower classes! Diarra is my usual instructor and her classes are so wonderful with the perfect combination of work and relaxation. This place is the real deal & has incredibly experienced instructors (unlike popular chains like Club Pilates or SLT). Prices are super fair and comparable. Love love love this place!

Ever since I had my first child (now 4 years old), I've been looking for a yoga or pilates studio with teachers that understood the postpartum body and classes with a healthy teacher-student ratio. NYC Pilates met all of my criteria, including being a beautiful, light-filled studio that makes you want to go to exercise every week. The schedule also fit perfectly with mine. Love these classes with Randi for me and my husband as well as with Meg for my teen daughter! All of the teachers at this beautiful studio are very experienced and have an outstanding knowledge of the body mechanics so that I always know I will get a safe, targeted pilates workout. Randi is so creative and changes my private workout regularly so I don't get bored and know my body will be much tighter, leaner and stretched at the end of each session. It is an excellent compliment to spin classes and running and has made me stronger in both of those sports as well. She has also helped me regain strength
