I originally came to this office to see Dr. Holmes, but the next available appointment wasn’t for a few months. The receptionist offered an appointment with Joshua Pan, PA. Meeting with Josh quite literally changed my skin and my life. Prior to coming here, I had seen another derm in DC that had great reviews and decades of experience. He ruined my skin. When I came to see Josh, he was patient, understanding, and listened intently to my concerns and questions. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Holmes. During these very difficult times, I felt very safe from the moment that I walked into the office. The receptionist was very nice. She offered PPE and she was very careful.
Dr. Holmes greeted me when she saw me standing in the waiting room on her way to see her next patient. While I was in the examination room, the staff checked on me several times.
Dr. Holmes was very patient when she numbed me to remove my mole on my face and her aftercare instructions were on point.
I am so glad that I went to see Dr. Holmes. Oh yeah, she takes insurance.

I have been seeing Dr. Holmes for about a year now, I am always able to get an appointment, and Dr. Holmes' bedside manner is unbelievable. I had to get a biopsy done, and Dr. Holmes noticed me wringing my hands together out of anxiety. She went and got me a stress ball to hold into as she carried out the procedure. She walked me through step by step what was happening, how long it would take, and the pain level associated. This level of kindness by ANY doctor is rare, so I am very thankful for her.

I have an appointment scheduled for this afternoon I called to ask a question and the receptionist was awfully rude she also was being sarcastic as l was trying to get assistance. She advised me no one will get back to me and I can cancel my appointment. Regardless if you don't know or have the answer take the patients information and let the doctor get back to the patient. I like Dr. Holmes however if this is how I am going to be treated I will look elsewhere for better customer service.

The doctor provides very limited interaction it's very quick and it feels more like an assembly line than that a patient care experience. The location is horrific and parking and you will find yourself stressed at an appointment where you should be able to relax. I have since found Dr. Moore in Tysons who is very patient centric and I've seen dramatic results and there is FREE parking. The office staff at Dr. Moore's office is very professional and refined which is the complete opposite at Dr. Holmes front desk staff are not professional .

The customer service here is by far the worst that I have experienced and I haven't even come into the office. I call to schedule a new patient appointment and I am hung up on initially. I call back and I am placed on hold in the middle of the receptionist taking my information and I have been on hold for 10 MINUTES. This is beyond ridiculous. I value working with a black doctor, especially when it comes to understanding matters of black skin, but if this doctor does not manage higher expectations of the front staff I'm sure she will loose many more patients.

Insanely bad customer service here, would never go back. Impossible to reach them by phone (called for months just to make an appointment) and forget about them answering your email requests for appointments as well. The times I was able to make an appointment I always felt Dr. Holmes was rushed. She brushed off my concerns about newly developed heart palpitations following a medication she put me on - when I visited another provider for a second opinion they were extremely concerned and conducted a very thorough exam. They were amazed when I told them the prescribing doctor was unconcerned.

During my visit to Dr. Holmes Office in July, 2020. Dr. Holmes and her staff were very safe, prompt and efficient. My temperature was taken at the door and I noticed at a glance that each chair was Social Distanced at 6 ft. apart and everyone wore masks. After my co-pay was taken within no time at all, I was seen by Dr. Holmes. I also would like to add that Dr. Yolanda Holmes is very knowledgeable in regards to Dermatological issues, and I truly feel that Dr. Holmes enjoys working with her staff, she loves her profession and she really cares about her patients. My appointment went perfectly today. The building and her office were following the recommended CDC guidelines for the pandemic. I was seen in a very timely manner. The PA I worked with was attentive and knowledgeable. And when Dr. Holmes joined us, she was able to quickly assess my issues and provide me with information about my treatment.

I had a great telmed appointment with Dr. Holmes. I have been seeing her for a little over three years and all of my concerns were met with prompt solutions. After the call, I received a message from the pharmacy within 5 minutes and a follow-up call indicating I needed a pre-authorization. This was my first time visiting Dr. Holmes. The front office staff were friendly and good at communicating expectations. I arrived on time and waited less than 10 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Holmes was kind, courteous and listened to my concerns. A very pleasant visit overall.
Edit: Dr. Holmes medical advice was spot-on and my problems resolved within a few weeks. I am beyond grateful for the doctor’s insights and knowledge.

Awesome dermatologists! Prompt service! Very professional staff!! Called on Wednesday for an appointment was scheduled for 11: am Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, arrived at 11 and seen by 11:05. Dr. Holmes diagnosed my condition and was able to treat me in the same day. Also left with samples to treat my condition

I really wanted to like Dr. Holmes. I'm a woman of color, and darker tones tend to need those who either specialize in a range of complexions or genetic make ups or are a person of color themselves. So I was really rooting for this visit. After all, a dermatologist at Sibley (one of my fave hospitals) told me about another dermatological issue I had that "you're black so it's probably a keloid or something". It was not. After that I knew I needed another dermatologist.
That's where my hope in Dr. Holmes

I just left my appointment and was pleased with my visit. I was called into the examination room EXACTLY at my scheduled time. I was sure to fill out the new patient forms before hand by printing them off Dr. Holmes' website, it saved me some time! I had a full body scan and Dr. Holmes along with the Nurse Practitioner examined me and explained each step. We chatted briefly afterwards about my skin care regimen, what I should add, and what to look out for in terms of abnormalities on my skin. I am pleased and will be back next year for my annual body scan.

When I first moved to DC about two years ago, I had been battling acne for most of my life. Mine was especially bad at the time, and I no longer had the access to my old dermatologist in my college town. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Holmes and never looked back! Not only is the office in a convenient location and very tidy and clean, but the staff are also so lovely and easy to work with and Dr. Holmes is a very talented dermatologist.
My skin has absolutely cleared up, which is obviously the primary reason I needed to see a dermatologist in the first place as well as a true testament

Dr. Holmes is very nice and well trained in diagnosing skin conditions and conventional "medicine." However, her billing department is vicious. Even if you do a payment plan and pay as agreed they will ruin your credit by sending you to collections over $30!
Additionally, eczema is an immune disease which must be healed through an organic diet and total detoxification. It can be caused by stress, or more often, environmental factors such as allergies. The topical anti-inflammatory creams (with a price tag of $750 copay for 30 day supply for a tube of ointment) are immune suppressors

Total mixed bag here. Dr. Holmes is great, really friendly and seems to care a lot about her patients. Office staff seems friendly enough too. Main downside is their office policy of making you come in to get test results even if everything is fine seems like a way to wring an office visit payment from you and your insurance company.
Oh and be warned you get a deluge of reminder texts, emails, etc when you schedule an appointment. Not huge deal but be ready for it.

I came here on recommendation from my doctor. This practice is definitely more geared toward cosmetic procedures which would lead you to think the office and waiting area would be way nicer and the personnel would be very friendly.
On both my visits, the doctor (on one visit) and nurse (on the other) spent a very brief amount of time actually seeming me. They didn't look to diagnose the problem and seemed more focused on getting me out as soon as possible. On my follow up visit, the nurse remarked at the progress but did not seem to know what exactly she was looking for. Needless to say
