Our staff has been carefully selected to insure you have a safe and positive movement experience.

Teachers Stephanie Bishop and Ekaterina Chernikhova, custom design sessions to suit each client's needs and help create stronger, more flexible and coordinated bodies.

Well-Balanced Pilates has a team of certiified teachers working together to help you reach your personal health and fitness goals. We customize each session to suit the needs of our individual clients. Stephanie Bishop is a Pilates Method Alliance, Power Pilates, and IM=X certified Pilates instuctor.
I have taken Pilates sessions two to three times weekly for seven years, starting on the recommendation of a wise friend before I had knee surgery and cintinuing because Pilates has made me stroner, taller, and straighter. Stephanie Bishop is the best Pilates instructor I have ever encountered an I have met many.

Stephanie is the real deal. have done pilates fairly regularly for the past 10 years and have realized how hard it is to find studios doing proper classical pilates in nyc. stephanie is an incredible instructor who knows the body and will teach how to move. her studio is always immaculate and because it’s nice and small instruction is always personal. i traveled all the way from brooklyn to this studio for several years, that’s how good it is.
if you’re looking for a pilates studio for i can’t reccommend well-balanced any more highly.

I have been taking Pilates here for years because I really love having a workout tailored to my body's idiosyncrasies. Stephanie and the rest of the team always give me a workout that pushes me hard enough to build strength and flexibility without making me miserable in the process.
