Part of a strong ownership group that includes diners in Northvale, NJ and Orangeburg, NY. This truly classic diner has everything you could possibly want and more.
Staff is good. Efficient, friendly and appropriately attentive. Food is always as expected and the portions are large.
This is the more "cozy" of the 3 diners I listed as part of the group. Parking can be a little tougher on certain days and at certain times but not awful.
I do think as a "chain" they've gone a little overboard with their waffles and pancakes (see whipped cream, sprinkles, Nutella etc).
They've definitely adjusted

When you're in Jersey, forget about! Get your hind quarters over to the Tenafly Diner. Not to be confused with the 10 flies diner. Ain't we all been to one of those. Come young. Come old. Come and get it. The food is so nice, I'll say it twice. My crew and I even closed the place, and the wait staff couldn't be more kind. This is a real gem. Treasure it.

It's really sad when so many of your favorite childhood area classic diners have gone upscale, and significantly raised their prices too. I've been a customer for decades, but with these current prices, you can be sure that places like this will only attract the well heeled, and price out most everybody else! The whole premise of a 'diner' was decent quality food meets affordability.

Decent when it's open. Been here twice in the am with a "sorry we don't have staff" sign.
Wish someone would update Google Maps if they're closed for the day. Bad for business not to be clear if they're open or closed. You may not have any customers left if you can't communicate.

They sold me a $19 HERO SANDWICH on a piece of loaf bread with disgusting plastic texture cheese and fake chicken on it. I called to inquire about this and the kitchen staff defended this “sandwich” by saying this is the bread they use. I don’t know a single restaurant that’s still in business that uses pizza dough as sandwich bread. This is literally impossible to fold like a sandwich. How can one sell this to a customer and think this is okay?

Everything here is overpriced. That said, here is my review. Good food, clean place, great service.
Pros:
Free parking
Friendly service
Fast service
Good food. I liked the burger and fries
Lemonade was good
Lots of tables
Lots of food to pick from
Cons:
Super expensive! Most items on the menu are averaging $20+! But this is a dinner, not a fancy restaurant. The prices realpy need to come down by about $10 per item on the higher priced items. For example, a steak costs $33 here... but at the Outback restaurant, it costs $26, free yummy bread, 2 free sides which can include french fries
