The ankle is composed of the tibia and fibula of your lower leg, plus their interactions with the talus, or heel bone. This hinge joint gives your foot the ability to move up and down, called plantar flexion and dorsiflexion, respectively. Literally, the worst and most dishonest doctor I have ever met. He incorrectly diagnosed me with a broken bone so he could gouge my insurance. Four other doctors said it obviously wasn't broken. He used all of my insurance benefits so I was forced to use all of my savings to pay for the real treatment I needed. I went home home with many things I didn't actually need. Also, I am still getting bills and finding out he charged my insurance for things he never even gave me.
Also, his secretary makes his orthotics, not him. They were so useless, I had to throw them away and pay for new ones

I broke my heel and had surgery which went well but I had persisting problems with the wound and pain in my heel. Turns out I had an infection around the screws off and on for three years after the initial surgery. I saw three other doctors who basically said it was just slowly healing and didn't pursue further action. He actually diagnosed the infection by doing cultures and an MRI and was honest and helpful throughout the process of combatting the infection. The situation was very serious because it was a bone infection. Within a month or so, he performed surgery to remove the two screws causing

Skilled doctor.but dishonest. While his face is dripping with sincerity and he is telling you all he wants is for you to feel better, he is trying to sell you something you do not need. Dr. Nik is obsessed with selling cash items. He'll tell you you can get your money back if you aren't satisfied but it's usually a lie because they'll say it's used. He will do anything to sell you crap that may not have anything to do with what's wrong with you. Can't afford his over-priced stuff, no problem, they'll take 2 payments? Still no? They'll give you a discount

Dr. Nikravesh is the only Podiatrist I consider for any emergencies. He has helped me with a left ankle fracture and a second time he helped me with a ligament issue. Both times, he treated me with 100% professionalism and dedication. I have referred loved ones to him and everyone is very satisfied.

Dr. Nikravesh absolutely saved my leg and my life! My family has, no problem driving almost 4-hrs to receive expert care from this fantastic doctor!!! After a fall, Dr. Nikravesh went above and beyond to isolate, plan and care for a very aggressive infection in my bone!! I've been having ongoing issues with my ankle, related to a sports injury that happened about 4 years ago. For no reason, about every 3-6 months I end up in terrible pain with difficulties walking that can last for several days. When the original injury occurred I went to the hospital to get CT scans. They told me it was ligament damage, and there was really nothing I could do. It's been so bad recently that I finally decided to book an appointment with a specialist. Dr. Nik was so easy to talk to and gave me lots of advice on how I could work on the injury. I've been following his suggestions

Dr Nik’s saved my toes !!!
I can sure say I was on the urge of possibly amputating my toes my ingrown on both sides on both toes were very crucial in the condition I first came in.
I don’t know the terminology of the condition my ingrown was heading but Dr Nik is honorable & incredible in the process of my healing.
His urgency, his technique, his practices, his advice, empathy, and great staff contributed in the best results I had by far.

So I don't usually put up negative reviews but as I'm looking at my statement for Dr. Nik. I feel a need to warn future patients. Dr. Nik does everything possible to get as much money as he can out of you and your insurance company as well as take up your time unnecessarily. Now I know that most Drs want and deserved to get paid but he takes it too far. I went to him for a fungus issue and I had an office visit in which he sent a sample to the lab. He insisted I come back in so that he can give me my prescription even though I had already had my appointment, and usually, a dr will

Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Nik for my son's foot/ankle pain, (which was quite severe and limiting his ability to participate in sports), and we are so grateful! Dr. Nik immediately recognized the condition as a fairly common growth plate issue in children. and recommended custom orthotics which has completely resolved the problem. Over time, as my son's feet grew, it was necessary to fit him for an additional pair of orthotics. The podiatrist whom I saw first (at UCLA) wasn't much help. He suggested no treatment except orthotics, which didn't help me. Dr. Nik went more radical. Not to surgery -- I like how he's not one to jump into surgeries at all. Instead we went with PRP into the foot. About 6 weeks later, with new orthotics designed by D. Nik himself, I feel much better.

This is a doctor that really cares about his patients, and you can hear the excitement in his voice as he sees you through the healing process. Not only is he concerned with healing you now, he makes sure to explain long-term care to ensure you have lasting mobility.

I went to see Dr. Nik because I had two wounds that wouldn't heal. He was gentle and very efficient. After only 3 weeks, he helped my wounds close and begin a healthy healing process. Now I am able to wear shoes, go swimming and bike riding. I am so pleased with his work. Dr. Nik is one of the dads at the school where I work, so when I had what I thought was an ingrown toenail, I figured i should just go to him. SO glad I did! He is caring and thorough--and has a great "bedside manner." It turn out what I had was NOT an ingrown nail but an abscess which he quickly and painlessly treated, and then gave me simple and clear instructions on how to care for it. I have since had him fit me for orthotic inserts, and they feel great!

Customer service nightmare. I had a office visit on Sept. 29, 2014 to be fitted for some custom orthotics (insoles). The podiatrist tried to sell me two and a bunch of other stuff. He seemed more interested in selling me more items than the pain in my ankle. I did buy Dr. Comfort flip flops (to be shipped to me) from him which have helped my ankle alot.
The parking lot at the Wilshire Blvd office is the size of a postage stamp and they do not validate.
Dr. Nik's office said that the orthotics would be mailed to me from their office in 2-3 weeks.
