Steven Hougak began Steve's Pump Service in 1978 from his home in Damascus, Oregon. He started with a handful of tools and a desire to help people understand their well system. Prior to 1978 Steve was trained to work on septic pumps. He decided to focus exclusively on water well pumps upon opening his own business.

A shout out to Steve's Pump Service for fixing a ruptured (well pump) pipe that was underground near our well and replacing the pressure relief valve, associated pipes, plumbing and control box. We had lost all water to our home on Christmas Day. Steve's Pump Service was the only company willing to come out on a super snowy day after Christmas and help us. They were able to fix everything in one day and get our home back up and running with water. Jason and his team are great workers and did an incredible job for our emergency fix. I highly recommend Steve's Pump Service for all your well and pumps

Steve's Pump and Well Service came out and replaced some line, added frost proof valve and fixed up my well head in general and what a great job they did for us. The technician (Jason) made a really hard job look super easy which is a sign of expertise and knowledge to me. What was an eyesore and a big problem now looks terrific and built to last. Just can't say enough good things about this job and the value. Thanks everyone at Steve's!!!

We have a well for our home. Steve's installed the well pump as well as some water treatment to help with the iron and organic matter in our well water. We mostly worked with Dan who was always friendly, helpful, and communicative. We ultimately ended up having another company re-do the water treatment because it did not work. I would recommend Steve's for the well pump but you should go elsewhere for water treatment as both companies who looked at our system, while trying not to criticize Steve's, said the water treatment was not done correctly. The filtration and softener were in the wrong order

I don't need pump service very often, but when I do I call Steve's Pump Service. Had my pump and controller replaced by two friendly, knowledgeable, professional, efficient techs. I received good consultation and learned about Iron bacteria. Scheduling visits was painless and everything happened right on schedule.

I have used Steve’s Pumps over the years to service my well and install a water softener and the most recent service call was to repair my irrigation pump. Each time I call them the whole team is so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They fit me into their busy schedule and took the time to fix my pump problem and test it to be sure it was working properly. This is a great company with thoughtful and friendly employees. I would recommend them for all pump and well services.

Personally, I believe this is a company you hire. You just do. Hire them and listen to their technicians. The work Steve’s Pump performed at my home today would likely be considered minor to them, but obviously it was something I needed done and it was important to me. I spent most of the day today with Tom and it was something I considered fun. His knowledge, experience, customer-service, care, attention to detail, and most importantly his integrity, were on-point.
