At Beyond Pilates, we are passionately committed to giving you the best version of the body you were born with. Two-person sessions are semi-private workouts that manage generous amount of personal attention when it matters most. After experiencing chronic pain and injury for decades, I set out to find a solution and along the way tried every modality with little success. MAT - muscle activation techniques changed all that.
Services
The sessions and classes held at Beyond Pilates integrate a depth of understanding of biomechanics, the science of human motion, that far exceeds the status quo. In some cases, the standard practice in Pilates and Fitness is to take on exercises without really understanding the potential benefits, or risks involved.
The Pilates Reformer is one of our most versatile apparatus contributing to the lean, toned muscular aesthetic we think of as a Pilates body. A moving carriage glides over two tracks with springs attached to handles or foot straps for resistance. This configuration allows for the maximum of versatility including seated, supine, kneeling and standing workout positions.
Are you an independent pilates instructor or personal trainer looking for a studio to work with your clients?. Or are you a Bodywork Practitioner looking for a private space to work with your clients?. For Bodywork Practitioners, we have a 100 sq ft private treatment room and 150 sq ft semi-enclosed space available for daily, weekly or monthly rentals.
Ed Morand, the owner of Beyond Pilates, is an MAT Rx Full Body Specialist. He is proud to offer sessions in MAT-Muscle Activation Techniques for those in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. Through our fitness plans, you'll not only change your body, but you will also be given the tools to transform your life.
An individualized approach toward achieving one's fitness goals, personal pilates and fitness instruction at beyond pilates is undertaken with a careful eye toward postural alignment, core stabilization, symmetry and movement coordination.

Each of our personal pilates and fitness clients is given an initial assessment, in which one's strengths and weaknesses, unique pattern of muscular compensations, exercise and health history, and injury status are addressed.Goals are then set that match the client's current condition with one or more specific goals, be they fat loss, muscular gain, flexibility enhancement or injury prevention.

With Noam, I want to reach for my highest potential in each session. He demonstrates a gentle and encouraging style, whole consistently observing, correcting and challenging. I highly recommend Noam and those who teach in his studio for anyone interested in truly understanding and practicing classical Pilates. Many out there have the equipment, but few understand the practice. Your body will let you know how hard you worked in the days following your sessions. See him weekly, if he can fit you in. Your body will strengthen, tone and thank you.

I took private sessions with Noam while visiting last year and they were incredible. Noam challenged my body and practice, while being encouraging and so intuitive to my body's needs. I always left feeling ready to take on the world. Fully equipped with Classical apparatus, clean and easily accessible. Highly recommend!

Noam is such an inspiring teacher. He motivates me to keep going even on the days when no coffee is strong enough. Pilates has been my metronome in times of uncertainty.
